Double For Acosta

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Jose Balasar Acosta was all in from a middle position for around 2,700,000 and got called from the hijack.

Jose Balasar Acosta: Q9All in
Hijack: AQ

The 294 flop gave Acosta a pair of nines, and this was good enough to secure him the double as the 8 turn and 3 river didn't change the outcome.

Peppe Calls His Shot

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Vic Peppe moved all in out of late position for his remaining 2,150,000 and a player two to his left three-bet all in, a move that covered Peppe.

The rest of the players folded, and the cards were tabled.

Vic Peppe: AQ All in
Opponent: AK

“I’m due a queen,” Peppe said as he stood up.

The dealer fanned 383 on the flop, leaving Peppe behind. The 7 on the turn didn’t help.

But like Peppe desired, the Q showed up on the turn to give him the win and double up.

“Didn’t I call it?” Peppe turned and asked PokerNews.

Indeed you did, Sir.
