Rheem Bluffs with the Best Hand, Then Hits River to Finish Opponent

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

On a heads-up completed board of 78545, there was close to 50,000 in the middle when Chino Rheem bet the pot to put his opponent all in.

"Man, I don't know if my pair beats your bluff," the player said.

"You have nines?" Rheem asked inquisitively, but the man shook his head no.

After another twenty seconds or so, the player tossed in his cards, admitting he had just an eight.

"Ok good, fold, look, I'll show you this," Rheem said, and flashed QQ to put his opponent's mind at ease as he dragged the pot.

The very next hand, the flop read 47J when all of the money got in the middle between the same two players, with Rheem covering by a wide margin.

Opponent: QJJ5All in
Chino Rheem: KK85

"Ok, we got outs," Rheem announced when he realized he was way behind, referencing his gutterball straight draw.

"Alright, you got it," Rheem said when the 7 hit the turn to give his opponent a full house, but the river brought in the miracle K to give him the top full house.

"Well, never mind, sorry man," Rheem said apologetically as he scooped in the pot while the player headed to the rail.

Jon Hoellein: AJ98 All in
Patrik Jaros: AQ97

The board ran out 46537; Hoellein made a straight, taking down the pot.

Frederici With the Double Knockout

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The player under the gun raised preflop and got a call from the small blind, who was on the extreme short stack and was all in, and Seth Frederici in the big blind.

The flop came 3106 and Frederici led with a pot size bet. Under the gun called all in.

Small blind: A998All in
Under the gun: AA104All in
Seth Frederici: QQ63

Seth Frederici was ahead with bottom two pair on the flop. The turn 8 and river J changed nothing and he was able to chip up by eliminating two players.

WSOP Circuit Ring

The initial schedule — US and international — is out for the 2024-2025 World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) season, and it should create some excitement within the poker community.

Action for the 20th Circuit season kicks off at a familiar spot — Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma — on July 17, the same day as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event concludes. There will also be a return to the same casino in October.

There are 18 stops — 13 in the US and five in other countries — on the 2024 portion of the WSOPC schedule. That includes five different countries and eight US states.

Royal Flush for Rowland

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at approximately 10,300 with three players looking at a flop of K10A. All three players checked through to reveal the 6 turn and the 6 river.

Kevin Rowland, in the big blind, bet out for 6,500. The hijack folded and the button called. Rowland tabled QJJ7, having flopped a royal flush; more than good enough to claim this pot.

Joshua Thibodaux
Joshua Thibodaux

On a three-way flop of 597, the action checked to freshly seated Dylan Weisman who bet 800 and was called only by Joshua Thibodaux.

On the turn 3, Thibodaux check-called another bet from Weisman, this time for 4,000, and the two players continued to the river K.

Thibodaux checked once more, and Weisman decided to check back.

"Two pair," Thibodaux announced, and Weisman tapped the table to signify that was good, and Thibodaux tabled Q976 for nines and sevens to take the pot.

Rheem's Not Scared

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at approximately 35,000 with the full board having been dealt 78964.

The player under the gun checked the action to Chino Rheem, in the cutoff. Rheem bet out 30,000, which was enough to put his opponent all in for their effective stack. The player under the gun thought for some time before making the call.

Under the gun: 10932 All in
Chino Rheem: QJ104

Rheem had the nut straight which was enough to send his opponent to the rail. Rheem explained he had a feeling that he was good, despite the flush on board.

Kyle Miholich: JJ22All in
Player 1: KKQ8All in
