These Guys are Funny

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Jacob Powers raised from under the gun to 300 and the button three-bet to 1,200. James Renno called from the big blind. The flop came out AKA and Renno checked, Powers led for 300 and both players called.

On the turn both Powers and Renno checked in the dark and the button stated, "You guys are funny", and checked as well after he saw the 8.

The river J had Renno checking, Powers threw in a 100 chip and both players called. Everyone had two pair. Powers turned over QJ, the button flipped over 77 and Renno held KQ for the best two pair.

Margets Gets Value

Leo Margets raised from under the gun and the small blind made the call.

The small blind check-called a bet of 300 from Margets on the 6210 flop.

The J turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Margets sized up to 700.

The A river checked to a showdown. The small blind tabled 99, while Margets took down this pot with KJ for a pair of jacks.

Powers Receives a Nice Muck

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on the river with a board of 7J1023. There had been a flurry of betting previously and Jacob Powers was in the big blind and led the river for 2,000. The player in the hijack made the call and Powers turned over J10 for two pair and the hijack mucked.

Urban Takes It on the River

The hijack raised, the cutoff three-bet to 1,500 and Sean Urban cold called from the small blind. The original raiser also elected to make the call.

The 237 flop saw Urban play out of flow, betting for 2,000. The hijack called and the cutoff raised to 6,000. Urban called and the hijack folded.

The 8 turn checked through to the 9 on the river. Urban retook the lead for 10,000 and the cutoff was forced to fold.

Full House Versus Quads

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

According to the players, David Kaufmann opened the action from middle position preflop and got three callers - Mark Golub in the hijack, the player in the cutoff and Barry Greenstein in the big blind.

The flop was 539. Kaufmann checked and Golub bet. After a call from the cutoff and a fold from Greenstein, Kaufman raised. Golub called and the cutoff folded.

The turn was the A. Kaufmann bet 3,500 and Golub called.

On the river A, Kaufman bet 8,500, which represented over a third of Golub’s remaining stack. Golub called.

Kaufman turned over AA for quads by the river, and Golub showed he managed to not lose all of his chips with 33 for a flopped set of threes and threes-full-of-aces on the river.

Rivera’s Pair Good for a Sizeable Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Four players saw the flop of 9J4. The middle position player bet 1,000 into 1,600 and Marc Rivera raised to 2,500 in the cutoff. The small blind cold-called, big blind called as well, and middle position decided to fold.

The turn was the 10, bringing in possible straights. Rivera continued for 6,000 and got a call from the small blind. The big blind thought for a while and then folded.

The river A got checked by both remaining players. Rivera showed QJ and his opponent showed he got out-kicked with Q10.

Frere Wins a Four-Bet Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The player in middle position raised, Mallory Frere three-bet to 1,800 from the cutoff and the button cold four-bet to 4,200. The original raiser folded and Frere called.

The 62J flop saw Frere play in flow, check-calling a bet of 2,400 from the button.

The 3 turn checked through to the 6 on the river. Frere took a stab for 2,000 and the button was forced to fold, eventually confessing to the table he held ace-king.
