Florian Duta raised from early position, receiving calls from the hijack, small blind and big blind. With 7,600 in the middle, four players headed to a flop of K92.

All four players checked through to the J on the turn. The action checked to Duta, who bet out 2,600. Only John Pannucci, in the small blind, made the call.

The J river checked to a showdown. Pannucci tabled K7 for top pair, winning him this pot.

Ahuja Applies Maximum Pressure

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The pot stood at approximately 10,000 with two players looking at a full board of 64K52.

Ankit Ahuja, who was under the gun, checked the action to the player in the hijack, who bet out 8,000. Ahuja responded by check-raising, moving all in for approximately 43,000, sending his opponent deep into the tank.

The hijack thought for a considerable amount of time before finally laying down their hand with some frustration.

Konnikova Wins With Big Slick

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Maria Konnikova
Maria Konnikova

Maria Konnikova opened to 1,300 from middle position. All players from the hijack to the small blind called. The big blind folded and they were five-way to the flop.

It came 10109 and got checked around, as did the turn K.

On the river 6, the small blind checked and Konnikova bet 3,000. She got a call from Bobby Gunter, who was in the hijack. The other players folded.

Konnikova showed AK and took the pot.

Despite a small setback paying off Konnikova, Gunter’s stack has been going in the right direction. Just the hand prior, he bet 20,000 into a pot of a bit under 30,000 on the board Q786A from the cutoff. He got insta-called by his opponent in the small blind, quickly turned over 109 for no less than the nut straight and took down a sizeable pot.
