Lindgren Loses Everything
Level 19
: Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Francisco Benitez had raised to 55,000 under the gun and the short-stacked Erick Lindgren defended his big blind.
The flop fell 5♣4♣2♦. Lindgren checked, Benitez put him all in for less than the pot, and Lindgren mulled it over for a while.
Eventually, Benitez called the clock and Lindgren made the call for his tournament life during the countdown.
Erick Lindgren: K♥Q♣9♠X♦
Francisco Benitez: 8♠7♠6♥5♥
Lindgren turned the best pair with the K♦, but the 7♦ river made Benitez a straight to eliminate his opponent.
