Luis Yepez Eliminated in 9th Place ($52,705)

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Luis Yepez
Luis Yepez

Action folded to Luis Yepez in the cutoff and he moved all in for around 7,000,000 chips. Chad Lipton on the button re-raised all in for 13,500,000. Michael Baltierra in the small blind seemed interested, but ultimately folded, as did the big blind.

Luis Yepez: 77All in
Chad Lipton: AK

It was a classic flip. Yepez let out a disappointed sigh when the KA4 showed up on the flop. He was down to two outs.

The turn came the Q and the river 6 and Yepez’s tournament was over in ninth place.

Chad Lipton Eliminated in 8th Place ($67,480)

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Chad Lipton
Chad Lipton

Chad Lipton has been eliminated in 8th place during the following intense hand:

Chad Lipton raised from late position to 2,400,000 and Bogdan Munteanu three-bet to 5,700,000. Lipton placed the four-bet of 10,000,000 and Munteanu five-bet all in for effective 24,800,000 and Bogdan called.

Chad Lipton: AQ All in
Bogdan Munteanu: AJ

The board came out very well for Munteanu despite being behind with 9J87J and the trip jacks were enough to eliminate Lipton.

David Cabrera Polop Eliminated in 7th Place ($87,080)

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
David Cabrera Polop
David Cabrera Polop

David Cabrera Polop raised to roughly 6,000,000 under the gun with just 2,000,000 behind. After the rest of the table Bogdan Munteanu called from the big blind.

Munteanu bet enough to put Polop all-in on the QJ9 flop and Polop called.

David Cabrera Polop: A10 All in
Bogdan Munteanu: KQ

Munteanu was ahead with top pair but Polop had a lot of outs to stay alive. The turn came the 10 and river was the 4, meaning Munteanu had eliminated Polop with a pair of queens.

Michael Baltierra Eliminated in 6th Place ($113,270)

Level 40 : Blinds 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Michael Baltierra
Michael Baltierra

Ching Da Wu opened the action with a minraise from under the gun. Michael Baltierra was next to act in the hijack and went all in for around 13,000,000 chips. The rest of the table folded back to Wu, who snap-called and had Baltierra covered.

Michael Baltierra: 66All in
Ching Da Wu: AK

The flop 1087 kept the advantage for Baltierra, who added a gutshot to his pair of sixes.

The turn A, however, changed everything and Baltierra let out an expletive. He was now drawing very thin, to only four nines for a gutshot and two sixes for the set.

The river was the 8 and Baltierra, who without a doubt would win the award for the biggest and loudest rail of the day, was escorted with applause and the rail’s patented call: “Mike, Mike!”

Stanislav Zegal Eliminated in 5th Place ($148,480)

Level 41 : Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante
Stanislav Zegal
Stanislav Zegal

When it folded to Mario Colavita in the small blind he raised to put Stanislav Zegal all-in in the big blind. Zegal only had 1,100,000 chips behind and put in the call.

Stanislav Zegal: 74 All in
Mario Colavita :Q3

The runout out of J2733 meant Colavita had caught running threes to make trips and send Zegal to the rail in fifth place.

John Racener Eliminated in 4th Place ($196,170)

Level 42 : Blinds 1,200,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
John Racener
John Racener

In a crazy three-way all in pot John Racener received the short end of the stick and was eliminated. Ching Da Wu raised to 5,000,000 and Racener moved all in from the button for 22,000,000 and Bogdan Munteanu folded in the small blind. Mario Colavita then four-bet all in with the most chips from the big blind and Wu called.

John Racener: 99 All in
Ching Da Wu: KK All in
Mario Colavita: AQ

The board ran out with 1036J4 and Wu got the best of it with top pair kings, Racener was eliminated and Colavita's chips were decimated.

Mario Colavita Eliminated in 2nd Place ($350,370); Bogdan Munteanu Eliminated in 3rd Place ($261,170)

Level 42 : Blinds 1,200,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Mario Colavita
Mario Colavita

Mario Colavita raised to 5,000,000 on the button and Ching Da Wu called from the small blind. Bogdan Munteanu thought it over briefly from the big blind before squeezing all in for 39,400,000. Colavita then shoved himself for 53,000,000 and Wu snap-called with the covering stack.

Mario Colavita: A10 All in
Bogdan Munteanu: KQ All in
Ching Da Wu :AA

If Wu could hold with his pocket aces he would be the winner of the event. The flop of 284 meant only running cards could help Colavita and Munteanu survive. The 6 turn and 4 river spelled the end for Munteanu in third and Colavita in second.
