Mendoza Extends His Chip Lead
The final table was extremely tense as Mendoza continued his streak of applying pressure with his big stack, by raising to 300k from the cutoff. Peinado, with a smaller, but still very large stack, defended from the big blind.
The dealer put out a flop of 10♣5♥3♥ and as expected, Peinado checked over to the preflop aggressor, who opted for a continuation bet of 475,000, which Peinado called.
The same action was true on the 4♦ turn, however this time Mendoza sized up, to the tune of 1,100,000. Yet again, Peinado matched his opponent's bet.
The river came the J♦, and for a third time, Peinado checked over to Mendoza. The Filipino wasn't afraid to empty the clip as he fired a triple barrel for a massive 3,000,000. It took a good four minutes for Peinado to come to his decision, and finally he returned his cards face down to the dealer, which brought a cheer from Mendoza's rail. He then showed the table the A♥, however left his other card a mystery.
