Kapoor Busts Out Funaro

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Frank Funaro and Sanjeev Kapoor both had their chips and bounty tickets in the middle before any cards were dealt, however it would only be Kapoor who had any chance of pulling the top prize of $250,000, as he had the covering stack.

Frank Funaro K8 All in
Sanjeev Kapoor AK

The 3310 flop gave a glimmer of hope to Funaro, who now needed any eight or any spade to take the lead. However, his “spade me, baby” request fell on deaf ears, and Kapoor picked up his bounty when the 10 and K did not help Funaro improve. Kapoor went on to pick up a cool $25,000 from his myster chest, leaving the big prize up for grabs.

Ace on the River for Kempton

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jakob Miegel was all in from the small blind against the bigger-stacked Isaac Kempton on the button.

Isaac Kempton: A8

Miegel was far in front and stayed that way on the 33J flop and 7 turn, but the A landed on the river to give Kempton the best hand for a knockout.

"Where are you finding these cards?" someone asked Kempton.

"From the deck," Kempton replied.

Manole Makes the Pay Jump

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Mihai Manole was taking his sweet time with a decision, one away from a $1877 pay jump. Mike Matusow had shoved his 260,000 stack, good for 13 big blinds, on the button. The small blind got out of the way, leaving only Manole, who clearly wasn’t in any rush to make a decision.

With his big blind and ante already in the middle, he had only eight big blinds behind, and would’ve been at risk if he made the call. Eventually, a player at the table called clock, and he waited for the five-second countdown before begrudgingly throwing in his chips and flipping over his cards.

Mike Matusow AQ

Matusow was left with peanuts after the 2965A runout.
