Doft Takes from Gussoni; Kornuth Straddles

Level 6 : 300/600, 900 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Mickey Doft opened to 1,500 from under the gun and Robert Gussoni defended from the big blind. Gussoni drew pat while Doft drew one.

After the draw Gussoni check-called a 6,000 bet from Doft. Gussoni showed a nine-seven but Doft had 7x6x4x3x2x for number two to win the pot.

The very next hand saw Kornuth, who was under the gun, put out a blind raise to 1,200 before receiving his cards. Kenneth Garen, seated directly to his left, three-bet to 3,500 and Kornuth called. Kornuth took one while Garen took two and both players checked after the draw.

Garen turned over a jack-low with Jx8x4x3x2x and Kornuth's hand hit the muck.
