Gorham Chipping Up; Moreno Rebuys

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on the river in a hand between Konstantinos Markakis on the button and James Gorham in the big blind.

With about 6,000 in the pot and the board reading 96883, Gorham fired out a bet of 4,000 and Markakis tossed his cards into the muck.

At a nearby table, Andrew Moreno was seen exiting the tournament area. He elected to fire a second bullet and is back in with a fresh starting stack.

Big Pot Early in the Six Max

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

There were roughly 13,000 chips in the pot on a board of 58K10J. Jason Burruss bet 6,500 on the button, and Samir Tageldin in the small blind took around a minute to assess his options before eventually calling. He was shown 97 and could not beat Burruss's straight.

Tageldin was clearly frustrated as he shook his head for a short while before he mucked.

Dermegreditchan's Cowboys Hold

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on the turn in a blind versus blind battle between Vincenzo Abate and Victor Dermegreditchan.

With about 15,000 in the middle and the board reading 9277, Abate led out with a bet of 5,000, and Dermegreditchan moved all in for 8,500 total to put himself at risk. Abate reluctantly made the call.

Victor Dermegreditchan: KK All in
Vincenzo Abate: A5

Dermegreditchan dodged an ace as the 3 rolled off on the river, getting him back above starting stack.

Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #13: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

This three-day event gets underway at 10 a.m. local time with late registration open for nine levels. There will be 20-minute breaks every three levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after level 12.

The starting stack is 25,000 chips, and Day 1 will consist of playing 17 levels. Day 2 resumes at 11 a.m., and levels increase to 60 minutes.

Bulgaria's Simeon Spasov is the reigning champion. He topped a 2,526-strong field in 2024 to capture his second bracelet and $439,815 in prize money. Although several established players kept Spasov company at the final table, he believes that the final table from his first bracelet win proved a sterner test.

“Yeah, sure, maybe on Day 2 was tough… but the final table, no, last bracelet, was a much harder final table.”
