Farha Keeps Climbing

Level 9

Big O

Sammy Farha opened to 2,100 from the cutoff and was called by Howard Smith on the button for a heads-up pot.

Both players checked on the 4QJ flop and then Howard called a 2,000 bet from Farha on the 9 turn.

The 8 completed the board and Farha bet 3,500. Howard looked him up and Farha fanned out AAJ97 for the nut flush.

Blumenthal and Chen Chop Up Belekhov

Level 9

Omaha Hi-Lo

Action was picked up on the turn in a four-way pot with Vladimir Belekhov in the small blind, Nicholas Blumenthal in the big blind, Ray Henson in early position, and Dong Chen in the cutoff.

The board read 8752 and action checked around to Chen who bet, getting calls from everyone except for Henson.

On the river K, action checked around to Chen who bet once more and both players called.

Dong Chen turned over A962 for the nut-straight and a seven-six low, prompting a muck from Belekhov. Blumenthal tabled A842 for a seven-five low and the pair of them chopped up the pot.

Sixes Enough For Shlez in Seven-Way Pot

Level 9

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dan Heimiller raised under the gun and was called by Vadim Shlez from directly behind, Andrew Watson in the hijack, Hayato Kitajima in the cutoff, Leonardo Valenzuela on the button, Lex Nerenberg in the small blind, and Angela Jordison in the big blind for a seven-way pot.

The flop came 2K5 and it was checked to Heimiller, who bet. Shlez raised and both Watson and Kitajima called cold. Valenzuela, Nerenberg and Jordison all folded and Heimiller called.

Heimiller checked to Shelz on the 5 turn and he bet. Everyone called.

The 5 completed the board and action checked through. Shlez showed A664 for a full house and everyone mucked — awarding the large multiway pot to Shlez.

Buchalter Wins Six-Way Pot

Level 8

Yehuda Buchalter limped first to act, Ken Aldridge limped from directly behind, Fernando Zuliani limped in the cutoff, Howard Mann limped on the button, Nathan Rosenberg limped from the small blind, and Sachin Bhargava checked his option for a casual six-way pot.

Everyone checked on the 947 flop and then Rosenberg led out for 2,500 on the A turn. Bhargava folded, but Buchalter raised to 11,000. Everyone folded in turn, including Rosenberg when the action was back on him to award Buchalter a nice pot uncontested.
