Madsen Flushes Wolf Out

Charles Joo limped from middle position and Russell Clayton limped behind from the hijack. Jeff Madsen then raised to 3,800 from the small blind and Iury Wolf called in the big blind. Joo folded, but Clayton called for a three-way pot.

Jeff Madsen bet pot for 12,200 on the A108 flop and Wolf shoved for a bit more. Clayton got out of the way and Madsen quickly called to put Wolf at risk.

The KQ runout left both players with a flush, but Madsen's was higher and Wolf was sent to the rail.

Action was picked up on the flop in a three-way pot between Calvin Anderson on the button, Ralph Broderick in the small blind, and Barry South in the cutoff.

On the flop of 7310, action checked around to Anderson who bet 10,000 and Broderick moved all in for 25,000 which only Anderson called.

The board ran out 210 and the tens and twos with an ace was held by both players, while Broderick scooped the low with a seven-six to quarter Broderick.

Defending Champion Magnus Edengren in the Mix

As level 7 begins, the defending champion Magnus Edengren has been spotted among this year's contenders. The Swedish player earned a career high score last year with $196,970 on top of his first WSOP bracelet. He defeated 853 runners, as well as a final table that included 17-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.

Edengren's poker tournament career dates back to 2007, with all but one of his WSOP cashes being in Omaha variants. The recreational player had said in his winner's interview last year that he plays the game for fun.

Ingalls Leaves Hanson With Crumbs

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Jonathan Ingalls opened to 1,400 on the button and was called by Bart Hanson in the small blind for a heads-up pot.

Hanson check-called a 3,600 bet from Ingalls on the Q105 flop and then both players checked on the 10 turn.

The A completed the board and Hanson checked a final time, prompting a pot-sized bet of 10,800 from Ingalls.

Hanson tanked for a bit, but decided to look Ingalls up and Ingalls turned over AKJ3 for Broadway.

Hanson coulnd't beat it and was left with just 1,400 following the clash.
