Big O
Shane Howeth raised to 160,000 from early position and was called by Sterling Lopez on the button and Benny Glaser in the big blind.
Glaser checked to Howeth, who bet pot for 570,000 on the Q♥J♥3♦ flop. Lopez called all in for 465,000 total and Glaser let his hand go.
Sterling Lopez: A♣10♦8♣8♦2♣
Shane Howeth: A♦J♣7♠5♣3♠
The 3♣ turn improved Howeth to a full house and the 2♥ river made Lopez's elimination official in 14th place.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Paul Vang raised in the cutoff and in the big blind, Patrick Leonard called.
Leonard lead out on the flop of 4♠Q♣9♠ and Vang tossed out two blue chips in response, which was not enough to raise and it remained as a call.
On the turn Q♦, Leonard bet again and Vang went into the tank.
"Were you trying to get me to check the turn?" asked Leonard while Vang contemplated his decision. As Vang thought a little bit longer, he flashed A♥A♠ and tossed his hand into the muck.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Benny Glaser raised in the cutoff and both Shane Howeth in the small blind and Tyler Brown in the big blind called.
The flop rolled out 4♥A♣5♣ and Howeth checked over to Brown who bet, getting two calls.
Howeth checked the turn Q♥ over to Brown who bet a second time which folded out Glaser, while Howeth called.
On the river 3♥, Howeth checked a third time and Brown bet. Howeth slammed the table as he took his cards in his hands, flashing A♦A♥ as he whipped his hand into the muck.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Michael Lacer raised under the gun and was called by Tyler Brown in the big blind.
Brown check-called a bet from Lacer on the A♣4♥5♥ flop and then check-raised a bet from Lacer on the 9♦ turn to put Lacer all in. Lacer called his remaining stack off to put himself at risk and a showdown was held.
Michael Lacer: A♦K♣6♠3♣
Tyler Brown: K♠J♣3♠2♠
Brown had flopped a wheel, and the Q♦ river bricked Lacer's straight draw to eliminate him in 15th place.
Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
Shane Howeth called in late position which saw Tyler Brown call in the hijack, Travis Pearson call on the button and Benny Glaser check his option in the big blind.
The flop rolled out 7♣10♣Q♠ and action checked around to the A♦ turn where Glaser bet 230,000, quickly folding out Howeth. Brown responded by raising to 750,000, quickly folding out Pearson and Glaser called.
Glaser checked the river 9♦, over to Brown who potted it for 1,770,000 and Glaser went into the tank. After some thought, Glaser moved all in for 2,730,000 effective and Brown quickly released his hand into the muck.
Big O
David Shmuel raised to 135,000 from the hijack and was called by Sean Remz in the cutoff and Abdyl Konjuhi in the small blind.
Action checked through on the J♣J♦4♦ flop and 2♥ turn. On the 7♦ river, it was checked to Remz once more and he bet 475,000. Both Konjuhi and Shmuel called and Remz showed A♦10♠5♦3♥2♦ for a flush and a low.
Konjuhi showed A♣K♥Q♠8♣3♦ for the same low and Shmuel mucked to award Remz the majority of the pot.
Big O
Aaron Rogers called from under the gun, Benny Glaser raised to 270,000 from early position and Michael Lacer called on the button. Action folded back to Rogers who moved all in for 1,150,000 and Glaser called while Lacer folded.
Aaron Rogers: A♥A♦9♦9♠4♦
Benny Glaser: A♣K♦8♣6♠2♣
The board ran out 10♦5♠5♥4♠3♥ and the river brought Glaser both a six-high straight for high and wheel for low. Glaser shot up the chip counts to the biggest stack while Rogers was eliminated from the tournament.
Every summer, a legend that the poker world hasn't seen in quite some time pops up at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). This year, that individual is Huck Seed, the 1996 world champion.
PokerNews caught up with the Poker Hall of Famer to find out why he's back in the game after nearly a decade away, and to see if he thinks he can hang with the new-school pros. Seed, prior to the interview, ran into and shared a wholesome embrace with his old pal and fellow poker legend Gus Hansen inside the Horseshoe Events Center. The two hadn't seen each other in a while.
