Schultz-Pedersen jams on Margereson

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Johan Schultz-Pedersen made it 6,000 to go from middle position with only Johan Schultz-Pedersen calling out of the big blind.

The dealer spread out the flop of 7A8 and Schultz-Pedersen check-called a bet of 7,000 from Margereson.

Schultz-Pedersen checked again on the 6 turn before Margereson bet 15,000. Schultz-Pedersen check-jammed for Margereson's remaining 38,000, and Margereson quickly folded.

Gus Hansen Involved in One of the Rarest Poker Hands You'll See at the 2025 WSOP

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Gus Hansen

PokerNews' Brad Whitehouse captured a hand on Saturday that might end up being the rarest we'll see all summer at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). At the very least, the rarest chop pot.

Gus Hansen and Dzmitry Urbanovich battled for a hefty pot on Day 2 in Event #23: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship with 35 out of 127 players remaining. The pot ended in a chop, but it left future Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman in awe.

"I've never seen that before," Schulman, who has seen nearly everything at the poker table, was overheard saying as he glanced at the tabled cards. "Wow, that's an amazing one."

Hemyari Cracks Aces

Level 5 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a raising war, Keyavash Hemyari, who was under the gun, and Peter Cross, who was in early position, managed to get it all in the middle preflop.

Peter Cross: AAAll in
Keyavash Hemyari: AK

A rather safe flop came for Cross with the 8J3, but when the Q dropped on the turn, it gave Hemyari some hope. The 10 dropped on the river to complete a sick run out for Hemyari, who cracked Cross' pocket aces when he made Broadway and sent Cross to the rail.

Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Sergey Lebedev raised from under the gun to 8,000. Jeremy Ausmus reraised to 20,000 from middle position, and when the action folded to Alexander Keating in the big blind he went all in covering both players. Ausmus made the call for 125,000 after Lebedev folded.

Jeremy Ausmus: AA All in
Alexander Keating: KxKx

Keating could not find help on the Q83A4 runout and Ausmus scooped in a full double-up.

Nassar Can't Improve

Level 5 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Khaled Nassar was all in preflop for his last 45,000, with Sam Laskowitz as the player trying to bust him.

Khaled Nassar: A5 All in
Sam Laskowitz: 77

Nassar needed the dealer to provide him with clubs or an ace to stay alive. The board of 43K38 was clean for Laskowitz's pocket sevens, and Nassar was out.

Yifu He Scooping

Level 5 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Matthew Sabia raised from the hijack to 8,000 and was called by Paul Jager next to act in the cutoff. From the button, Yifu He re-raised to 27,000. Sabia folded while Jager made the call.

The flop came K105 and Jager check-called the 18,000 chip bet from He.

On the turn 10, Jager led out 45,000 and was called by He.

When the river came the K, Jager checked, He bet 25,000, Jager called, and He showed A6 for the flush and a substantial pot.
