Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Masato Yokosawa opened to 120,000 under the gun. It folded to Adam Hendrix on the button, who shoved his 675,000 chips in the middle. Yokosawa made a quick call with the covering stack.

Adam Hendrix: AQ All in
Masato Yokosawa: JJ

All seemed well for Hendrix after the A27 flop and Q turn, giving him a big lead with his two pair. The J river, however, saw Yokosawa hit one of his two outs to make a better hand.

Yokosawa's set was awarded the pot, and Hendrix was the first player to depart from the final three tables.

Mathew Frankland raised to 160,000 under the gun and Rafael Mota called from the small blind. Aliaksei Boika squeezed all in for 1,685,000, which got Frankland to fold. Morta called and the cards were turned over with Boika at risk.

Aliaksei Boika: AJ All in
Rafael Mota: 66

Boika found himself in a flop for his tournament life. The flop fell 5K2 to give Boika a flush draw. The dealer burned a card and revealed the 7 on the turn, leaving Boika one card away from elimination. The river was the 9 and all of Boika's stack was sent over to Mota.

Frankland's Aggression Pays Off

Level 18 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Mathew Frankland

Anatoly Nikitin made it 160,000 from early position with Rafael Mota calling from the next seat. Mathew Frankland squeezed to 575,000 from the Hijack, which only Mota called.

After Mota checked the 66K flop, Frankland bet 325,000. Mota called to see a turn.

The 10 dropped on the turn and Mota check-called another bet from Frankland, this time for 700,000.

Both players checked the J river and Mota revealed 8x8x a pair of eights. Frankland showed rivered straight with AQ, prompting Mota to bash the table in frustration at losing on the river.

McKeehen Amps Up the Pressure

Level 18 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

Action folded to Joe McKeehen in the small blind, and after a little consideration, he raised to 260,000. Jim Collopy, in the big blind, called.

McKeehen continued with a bet of 200,000 on the 1065 flop and Collopy again chose to call.

A flush completing A hit the turn, but McKeehen had no intentions of slowing down, continuing again for 500,000. Again, Collopy called in order to see one more card.

The river J didn't do anything to slow McKeehen down either as announced "all in".

Collopy asked for a count, which confirmed that he was the shorter of the two stacks.

The counting McKeehen's stack had given him some extra time to think, though, and once he got the information, he folded.

Lee Catches Huge Bluff to Double Up

Level 18 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

In a single-raised pot, Mathew Frankland checked from the big blind on a flop of 7102. Chang Lee then placed a continuation-bet of 175,000 from the hijack, which Frankland called.

Both players checked the 9 turn, prompting Frankland to pile in a massive tower of chips on the 3 river. Lee's stack of 1,555,000 was put at risk, and he went deep into the tank.

After some time extensions, Lee decided to call off. Frankland could only show 55, while Lee had hero called with A10 for top-top, raking in the massive double-up.

Mitchell Hynam Eliminated in 20th Place ($73,639)

Mitchell Hynam

Mitchell Hynam open-shoved his stack of 1,255,000 from the cutoff. It folded to Joao Simao in the button, who confirmed the number before making the call.

Mitchell Hynam: QJ All in
Joao Simao: A9

Hynam flopped a flush draw on 567, but hitting a pair would no longer be good as Simao paired his ace on the A turn.

The K river did not bring Hynam his desired heart, and he took his exit with only a few minutes left on the clock for Day 2.

Seth Davies Eliminated in 19th Place ($73,639)

Level 18 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

Mamad Arani opened in the cutoff to 175,000, and action folded around to Seth Davies in the big blind.

After taking a moment to confirm the raise amount and then take stock of his stack, Davies moved all in for 770,000.

Arani pondered for a moment but decided to call.

Seth Davies: A9 All in
Mamad Arani: J10

The flop 5J6 had a little something for everyone, importantly though Arani took the lead with his top-pair.

The turn 3 did nothing to affect proceedings, and the river 2 sealed Davies' fate.

Arani pulled in a nice stack as Day 2 was drawing to a close, and Davies headed to the payout desk.
