Justin Liberto
Justin Liberto

Antonio Galiana opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 120,000. It folded around to Justin Liberto in the small blind, who took a brief moment before moving all in. Galiana didn’t hesitate and snap-called, putting Liberto at risk.

Liberto was behind and looking for help to stay alive, but the board ran out A83Q2, offering no favors. With that, his deep run came to an end as Galiana’s jacks held strong.

Georgios Sotiropoulos
Georgios Sotiropoulos

Georgios Sotiropoulos moved all in for his last 5,000 from middle position, prompting Uri Reichenstein to isolate with a raise to 180,000 from the small blind. Action was on Renji Mao in the big blind, who couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, clearly facing a tough decision. After some thought, Mao ultimately let his hand go.

Georgios Sotiropoulos: A5 All in
Uri Reichenstein: QQ

The flop gave Sotiropoulos a pair on 485 but could not find his outs when the board ran out 4 on the turn and 6 on the river.

Sotiropoulos was eliminated, and Reichenstein took his stack to nearly 7,000,000

New Chip Leader

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Antonio Galiana
Antonio Galiana

Georgios Sotiropoulos raised from the button to 130,000, and Antonio Galiana 3-bet to 400,000 from the small blind, and Sotiropoulos flat called. The flop came out with 297, and Galiana led out for 375,000, Sotiropoulos smooth called.

On the turn 2, Galiana took the betting lead again with 850,000, and Sotiropoulos called.

The river J was action-packed with excitement when Galiana checked and Sotiropoulos moved most of his chips in leaving behind one five-thousand-chip. The dealer announced all in, and Galiana quickly called and flipped over his cards, and Sotiropoulos flipped over his cards and then flipped them back over when he saw he had the losing hand.

Galiana held QQ for top pair, and Sotiropoulos held K10 for the missed draw.

Michael Moncek Eliminated in 9th Place($44,018)

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Michael Moncek moved all in from the button for his last 1,200,000, and Uri Reichenstein called from the small blind.

Michael Moncek: A7 All in
Uri Reichenstein: 88

'Texas' Michael Moncek needed to hit an ace or another miracle of some sort to stay alive.

There was no help for Moncek on the 9JK flop, and when the 5 fell on the turn, he was left to just hitting an ace on the river to survive.

Unfortunately for Moncek, the 3 brick on the river didn't help at all, and he was sent to the rail as the official final table bubble boy.

Balleur Takes Big Pot from Sotiropoulos

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

With roughly 320,000 already in the middle and the flop reading 926, Gaetan Balleur fired for 175,000 from the cutoff. Georgios Sotiropoulos, seated on the button, made the call to keep things going.

The 10 landed on the turn, and Balleur kept up the pressure with a bet of 550,000. Sotiropoulos stuck around once again with another call.

The river brought the J, but this time Balleur checked it over to his opponent. Sotiropoulos went deep into the tank before sliding out a bet worth 1,220,000. Balleur didn’t need much time and snap-called.

Sotiropoulos revealed K10 for a pair of tens, but Balleur tabled 87 for a rivered flush to scoop in a sizable pot.

Jarod Ludemann Eliminated in 10th Place ($34,578)

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jarod Ludemann
Jarod Ludemann

Jarod Ludemann opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 500,000. Renji Mao, in the small blind, looked a bit puzzled by the sizing but eventually moved all in, putting Ludemann at risk. After a short pause, Ludemann made the call, and it went to a showdown.

Jarod Ludemann: 66All in
Renji Mao: 77

The 325 flop gave Ludemann a few outs to a straight, but the 10 on the turn and K on the river brought no further help. Just one elimination shy of the final table, Ludemann hit the rail while Mao stacked the pot.
