David Funkhouser was heads-up with Oscar Johansson after the draw when he bet 71,000 from the big blind. Johansson then raised to 350,000 in the cutoff, sending Funkhouser deep into the tank.
"Please don't show me if you're bluffing, Oscar," he said to Johansson as he eventually folded. "I don't care how Oscar plays at this point. I can't take it anymore," he added.
The next hand, Johansson raised to 24,000 in the hijack and Funkhouser shoved for 224,000. Johansson folded and Funkhouser took the pot.
Greg Mueller then raised to 35,000 in the cutoff and Funkhouser reraised again, putting in 278,000 and leaving only a few chips behind. Mueller took a few minutes before folding. "That was close," he said.
Brian Rast opened to 28,000 from under the gun and Felipe Ramos shoved for his last 132,000 on the button. Just behind him, George Alexander made it 260,000 to go from the small blind and Rast got out of the way.
Alexander stood pat and Ramos tanked a while before deciding to break his ten face up.
"Good break," Alexander said.
Felipe Ramos: 8x7x4x2x
George Alexander: 9x8x5x4x3x
Ramos made the correct move, but wasn't rewarded as he received an 8x — pairing his eight to be eliminated in 21st place.
Daniel Negreanu opened to 30,000 from the cutoff and Dario Alioto three-bet to 296,000 from the big blind — leaving himself a single t-1,000 chip behind. Negreanu just called.
Both players drew one and Alioto checked to Negreanu, who bet to put Alioto all in.
Alioto tanked for as long as he could, but the floor gave him a clock and Alioto reluctantly called all in.
Negreanu announced, "King" and spread out Kx7x4x3x2x. Alioto showed 8x6x6x4x2x for a pair of sixes and was eliminated.
Bariscan Betil called from the small blind and Alex Foxen raised to 48,000 from the big blind. Betil called.
Betil drew two and Foxen stood pat.
Betil then checked to Foxen, who bet 38,000. Betil called and Foxen said "jack-nine" as he spread out Jx9x5x4x3x. Betil nodded his head in acknowledgement and sent his hand into the muck.
Danny Wong opened to 25,000 in the hijack and Robert Wells shoved for his last 176,000 in the cutoff. George Alexander then shoved for more in the small blind and Wong called all in for approximately 200,000.
Each player drew one.
Robert Wells: 9x7x3x2x
Danny Wong: 7x5x3x2x
George Alexander: 7x5x3x2x
Alexander peeled first and drew a 6x to make number three.
Wong drew a 10x and Wells drew an irrelevant Jx to award Alexander the large pot and score the double knockout.
"All in blind," Stephen Moreschi said as he put in his last 89,000 from under the gun. Chad Eveslage called in the cutoff, but Alex Foxen reraised to 250,000 in the small blind. Eveslage then reshoved for 500,000. "This might be an uphill hill," Moreschi said as Foxen finally folded.
Eveslage stood pat and showed 9x8x6x5x4x while Moreschi peeked at his cards. "One good card. One good card," he said to a round of laughs, drawing four while keeping a 3x.
He first turned over a Qx and was already drawing dead and headed to the payout desk as Eveslage scooped the entire pot.
