Phil Hellmuth raised to 9,000 in the cutoff, Walter Chambers moved all in from the small blind, and Hellmuth called for 43,000.
Chambers took one and Hellmuth stood pat with 8x7x4x3x2x. Chambers turned over 7x5x3x2x as he peeled his last card but shook his head and revealed a 9x before handing over the double up.
Pedro Bromfman was all in for his last 25,000 from the big blind as Ben Lamb put him at risk under the gun.
Both players took one and Bromfman turned over Jx9x5x4x. Lamb had Qx9x8x4x and hit a 3x on the draw, while Bromfman pulled another jack to make a pair as the 2022 champion of this event was sent to the rail.
David Funkhouser moved all in for 25,000 on the button and Stephen Moreschi called under the gun.
Both players drew one and Funkhouser showed Jx9x5x3x. Moreschi had 9x8x4x2x and drew a 3x to leave Funkhouser drawing dead and heading to the rail.
Adam Owen opened to 7,500 from under the gun and was three-bet to 25,000 by Jason Papastavrou in the cutoff. Brian Rast then shoved for 170,000 on the button, which got a fold from Owen and a call from Papastavrou for his last 135,000.
Papastavrou stood pat and Rast drew one.

Rast peeled a 3x — leaving him best with a superior eight to eliminate Papastavrou.
Taylor Paur raised to 7,500 under the gun, Per Hildebrand three-bet to 20,000 in the cutoff, and Paur called.
Paur drew one while Hildebrand stood pat. Paur then led out for 25,000 and Hildebrand snap-called.
Hildebrand showed 8x7x6x3x2x and Paur mucked.
Heads-up going to the draw, Patrick Leonard drew one and Dylan Smith took two. Leonard then bet 34,000 from under the gun and Smith moved all in for 63,500 on the button.
"Do you have a good eight?" Leonard asked as he pondered the decision for a minute. He eventually called and Smith showed a 9-7, but Leonard turned over 8x7x6x5x3x to win the pot and send Smith to the rail.
"You can't fold after he draws two," tablemate Matthew Schreiber said to Leonard after the hand.
Cary Katz opeend to 6,000 first to act and was called by Chance Kornuth in the cutoff. Johannes Becker then shoved on the button, which got a fold from Katz and a call from Kornuth for 60,000 total.
Kornuth drew one and Becker stood pat.

Kornuth was on the ropes, but drew a 9x to leave him best with a nine for the double up.
Christopher Vitch moved all in for 10,000 from the cutoff and Ariel Mantel called in the small blind.
Both players drew one and Vitch showed Jx5x4x3x. Mantel had 9x5x3x2x and drew an 8x to leave Vitch drawing dead and heading to the rail.
At the same time at another table, Oscar Johansson raised to 6,500 in the cutoff, David Lin moved all in for 72,500 in the big blind, and Johansson called.
Both players drew one, Johansson showed 8x6x5x3x and Lin 9x7x5x4x. Johansson caught a 4x, while Lin also drew a four to make a pair as he was also eliminated.
Stuart Rutter, Ryutaro Suzuki, and Ben Lamb all had their chips in the middle as they went past the draw.
Rutter turned over 10x6x4x3x2x, while Lamb had 10x8x7x5x3x. Suzuki had 8x6x4x3x showing but drew a Kx on his last card to end up third best.
Rutter tripled up for his 65,000, while Lamb took a small side pot off Suzuki.
