Alex Foxen raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Dan Smith three-bet to 140,000 on the button. Foxen then four-bet to 350,000 and Smith called.
Foxen stood pat and Smith took one. Foxen then moved all in. "Mind if I squeeze?" Smith asked as he slowly peeled his last card. "All in," he instantly said as he put in his last 765,000.
Foxen showed 8x7x6x5x2x, but Smith had caught 7x6x5x3x2x to win the pot and double up, leaving the former chip leader as a short stack.
"How did that get all in?" Daniel Negreanu asked from another table.
"I three-bet, he four-bet. I called, then I caught it," Smith replied.
Ben Diebold opened to 32,000 first to act and just behind him, Alex Foxen committed his last 10,000 into the middle. Brian Rast called in the big blind.
Rast drew one, Diebold stood pat, and Foxen drew two.
Rast then bet 40,000 and Diebold shoved for 194,000 total. Rast tanked a while, but eventually stuck calling chips into the middle and Diebold showed 8x7x6x5x3x, which was best against Rast's 9x8x7x5x3x for the double up.
Foxen ended with a king and was eliminated in 20th place.
David Funkhouser raised to 123,000 in the hijack, leaving only a few chips behind, then called when small blind Oscar Johansson moved all in.
Both players drew one. Johansson had 9x5x4x3x, while Funkhouser showed 10x9x7x5x. Johannson drew a 6x and Funkhouser was already drawing dead, tossing a 2x into the muck on his way to the rail in 19th place.
At the same time at another table, Bradley Jansen had bet 110,000 from middle position after the draw and Stuart Rutter raised to 300,000 in the cutoff. Jansen called and Rutter showed 8x6x5x4x2x to win the pot and leave Jansen on a short stack.
Action folded to the blinds, where Darren Elias shoved from the small blind and Bradley Jansen called all in for his remaining stack in the big blind.
Both players drew two and hands were revealed.
Bradley Jansen: 6x5x2x
Darren Elias: 10x4x3x
Elias quickly turned over Jx5x for a jack-ten and Jansen peeled one by one. The first card was a safe 7x, but the second was a Qx to leave Jansen second-best and eliminate him in 18th place.
Huck Seed raised to 40,000 under the gun and picked up calls from Darren Elias in the cutoff and big blind Stuart Rutter.
Rutter and Elias both took two, while Seed stood pat. Rutter then led out for 90,000 and Seed called.
Elias, though, came back with a raise to 440,000 as Rutter quickly got out of the way. Seed didn't act quickly, instead taking more than five minutes until he joined Rutter in the muck and Elias took down the pot.
Darren Elias opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 115,000 by Ali Eslami on the button. Huck Seed called cold in the big blind and Elias folded.
Both players drew one and then Seed shoved for approximately 120,000.
Eslami let his hand go after a bit of thought and Seed collected a nice pot.
Action folded to Huck Seed who limped in from the small blind. Nick Schulman then raised to 50,000 in the big blind and Seed moved all in for 429,000. Schulman called and they both stood pat.
Schulman turned over 9x7x6x5x3x. "I keep running into these big hands in the blinds," Seed lamented as he tossed a 10-7 into the muck and headed to the rail in 17th place.
"Really, Nick? You're going to do your buddy like that? Wake up with a pat nine?" Greg Mueller yelled over from another table.
