Foxen Takes Hellmuth Out

Alex Foxen raised to 20,000 from the hijack and Phil Hellmuth tanked a bit in the big blind before announcing he was all in for his last 55,000. Foxen called.

Hellmuth stood pat and Foxen drew one.

"You were supposed to draw two. You might be a small favorite," Hellmuth said.

Rutter Can't Catch to Bust Sion

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 15,000 ante

Stuart Rutter raised to 32,000 in the cutoff and Elior Sion moved all in for 110,000 in the big blind. Rutter called and they both drew one.

Rutter showed 9x7x4x2x, while Sion had 8x6x3x2x. "Paint," Sion announced, turning over a Jx while Rutter turned over another nine to make a pair as he handed over the double up.

Negreanu Over a Million

Daniel Negreanu opened to 25,000 on the button and just behind him, Philip Sternheimer shoved for his remaining stack in the small blind. Negreanu didn't take long to call to put Sternheimer at risk.

Sternheimer drew one and Negreanu stood pat.

Sternheimer was already drawing dead against Negreanu's eight and peeled an irrelevant 3x to make his elimination official.

A Jack Is a Jack For Negreanu

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 15,000 ante

Elior Sion raised to 23,000 on the button and Brian Rast called in the small blind. Daniel Negreanu then three-bet to 83,000 in the big blind and both opponents called.

"Hello, boys," Rast said as he took two, while Negreanu stood pat and Sion drew one. All three players then checked.

Rast had made a pair of deuces, while Negreanu showed a J-9. Sion and Rast both mucked.

"I have a jack. Not a very good jack, but a jack is a jack," Negreanu said as he took the pot.

Rutter Makes the Right Call

Philip Sternheimer and Stuart Rutter were heads-up after the draw with a sizable pot already in the middle.

Sternheimer shoved fro the hijack, which was enough to put Rutter all in for his last 75,000 in the cutoff.

Rutter went deep into the tank and the clock was eventually called.

Rutter stuck in a call with a few seconds to go and Sternheimer showed 9x9x6x4x2x for a pair of nines. Rutter revealed 8x7x5x2x2x for a winning pair of deuces and was awarded the double up.

"Nice hand," Sternheimer offered as Rutter collected the pot.

At another table, Quan Zhou was eliminated.

Smith Makes an Eight to Bust Kassela

Smith ended up with 8x7x5x3x2x and Kassela showed a jack as he mucked. "Good hand. I decided I was calling there no matter what," Kassela told Smith on his way to the exit.

Eveslage, Foxen Try to Take Out Tate

Brian Tate was down to around 30,000 as he moved all in from the cutoff. Chad Eveslage called on the button, as did big blind Alex Foxen.

All three players took one and Foxen and Eveslage checked. Eveslage then showed 10x9x6x4x2x and Tate flashed a jack before making his exit.

Elias Raises Big Against Eslami

Darren Elias and Ali Eslami were heads-up after the draw when Eslami bet 50,000 from under the gun. Elias then raised to 175,000 in the big blind.

Eslami quickly called and Elias showed 8x7x5x3x2x to win the pot.

Ramos Doubles Through Foxen

Catching up after the draw, Felipe Ramos checked from the big blind and Alex Foxen bet 42,000 on the button. Ramos then check-raised all in for 128,000 total and Foxen called after a bit of thought.

Ramos tabled 8x7x6x5x2x and Foxen sent his hand into the muck — awarding Ramos the double up.

Wells Doubles Off Smith

Robert Wells moved all in for 134,000 in the hijack and Dan Smith called in the big blind.

Both players drew one and Smith showed 6x4x3x2x, while Wells had 9x8x6x4x. Smith caught a Kx, but Wells drew a 3x to make his 9-8 and earn the double up.
