From under the gun, Bryce Yockey raised to 1,000 with only Richard Acovino calling from the big blind.

Acovino check-called a bet of 600 fom Yockey on the 5♥3♠4♥ flop.

The A♥ turn checked through to see the 3♦ appear on the river. Acovino checked and then faced a bet of 2,500 from Yockey. After looking back at his cards, Acovino folded and relinquished the pot to Yockey.

Justin Liberto opened the hijack to 1,000 and Gary Benson called from the big blind.

On the Q♣6♣5♥ flop, Liberto continued for 1,800 and Benson called.

The 9♦ turn checked through to the 9♠ river which saw Benson lead for 5,500, and Liberto did not take long before he flicked in the call. Benson tabled A♣9♥3♠2♥ for trip nines, as his nut-low draw on the flop turned into trips by the river as he scooped the pot.

Korody Scoops Sammartino

Dario Sammartino raised to 1,200 from early position before Michael Korody three-bet to 4,200 from the cutoff. When it got back to Sammartino, he four-bet to 12,600 and Korody called.

Both players checked the 2♥4♦3♣ flop to see the 7♥ appear on the turn. Sammartino bet 15,000, and after a few moments, Korody jammed for 54,500. Sammartino went into the tank for over two minutes, shaking his head, staring Korody down. In the end, Sammartino made the call.

Korody had flopped a wheel and looked poised to earn the full double-up, if he could fade a five on the river. The river was the Q♦ prompting Korody to jump out of his chair and shout "Let's go baby!" as he scooped the pot with a wheel.

An Unfortunate River Sends Frohli to the Rail

On a board of K♣A♣6♥10♣ Andreas Frohli jammed for 7,600 from the small blind. Elie Nakache called from early position and Luis Velador folded from the hijack.

Frohli was in the lead with a flush and needed to fade a board pairing river to win the pot. However, the 10♠ river improved Nakache to a boat, and Frohli was out.

Defending Champ Enters and Wins a Big One

Xixiang Luo opened to 1,000 from early position and was called by Maksim Pisarenko in the hijack, Paul Zappulla on the button, and defending champion Sean Troha in the small blind.

On the 7♣3♦2♣ flop, it checked to Pisarenko who bet 1,800. Zappulla folded and Troha called before Luo check-potted to 12,200. Pisarenko quickly folded but Troha called.

The 9♣ turn checked through to the 6♥ river which saw Troha lead for 25,000. Luo would go deep into the tank for over two minutes before he tossed in the call. He got the bad news as Troha tabled A♠10♣9♥4♣ for the nut low and a flush which was good for the scoop.

After Funkhouser checked the 8♠7♠A♦ flop, Furth bet 4,000, which only Lonis called.

Furth continued with a bet of 11,000 on the 7♦ turn. Lonis called again.

The 6♥ appeared on the river and Furth opted to check. Lonis bet the size of the pot, prompting a fold from Furth.

Bambrick had aces and a flush draw, but Loube had some outs he could hit to chop the pot or scoop. However, the rest of the board came 9♦7♠, keeping Bambrick's bullets ahead, and ending Loube's tournament.

Laplante Forces Out Iasnogorodskii

Action was picked up on the J♥4♥3♠ flop in a hand between Aleksandr Iasnogorodskii from under the gun and Ryan Laplante in the hijack with 17,000 in the middle already. Iasnogorodskii led for 5,000 and Laplante called.

On the 2♦ turn, Iasnogorodskii fired again for 15,000 and Laplante stuck around.

Iasnogorodskii slowed down with a check on the 3♦ river as Laplante did not take long before he jammed for his final 31,000. Iasnogorodskii, with the slightly covering stack, let it go rather quickly

Robert Mizrachi raised to 1,800 under the gun with Stanislav Ivanov calling from the cutoff, Allan Le calling from the button, and Eddie Blumenthal defending his big blind.

After two checks on the 2♣3♣10♣ flop, Ivanov bet 5,700, which only Le called.

Ivanov bet again upon seeing the 9♥ appear on the turn. After a brief pause, Le called.

The river came the Q♣ and Ivanov jammed for his last 35,300. Le gave it some thought, but ultimately settled on a fold.
