Obst Quarters Abronson

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Luis Velador raised to 7,500 from middle position with Louis Abronson calling from the hijack. James Obst three-bet to 33,000 from the small blind, and only Abronson called.

The dealer spread out the flop of 23K and Obst bet enough to put Abronson all in. Abronson quickly called for his last 20,000.

Louis Abronson: A752 All in
James Obst: AQ105

Both had the same low draw and were competing for the high. The rest of the board came 66, which meant Abronson got quartered as Obst had turned a flush to win the high.

Lin Schools Teach

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ken Aldridge limped under the gun and Cliff Josephy limped the button. In the big blind, Ren Lin potted to 13,500, and both opponents called.

On the K94 flop, Lin continued for 20,000, Aldridge jammed for 37,500, Josephy folded, and Lin called.

Ken Aldridge: A987 All in
Ren Lin: AK53

Lin had top pair and the nut flush draw against the middle pair of Aldridge. The board ran out 1010, which was no help to either player as Lin held to eliminate "Teach."

Deeb Goes from Trapper to Trappee

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Shaun Debb

Dylan Wilkerson limped under the gun, Shaun Deeb limped next to act, and Todd Ivens limped to his left.

"C'mon, family pot! Let's trap Jim [Collopy] with a piece of cheese," joked Deeb as Jim Collopy was seated in the big blind.

Elie Nakache completed from the small blind and Collopy checked his option in the big blind.

The QJ2 flop checked around to the 10 turn, which saw Collopy lead for 6,000 and only Deeb called.

On the 2 river, Collopy checked it over to Deeb who announced a bet of 17,000. Collopy was clearly displeased with the situation he found himself in after late registering, but he eventually tossed in the call.

"I like your hand, I have ace-high," admitted Deeb, as he tabled A854 for just the naked ace of spades bluff. Collopy revealed K852 for the second-nut flush as he dragged the pot.

Korody Scoops Ivey in a Huge One

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Michael Korody
Michael Korody

Michael Korody opened the cutoff to 13,000 and Phil Ivey called out of the big blind.

On the A85 flop, Korody continued for 15,000 and Ivey called.

Ivey check-called again on the 7 turn for 52,000.

On the 10 river, Korody emptied the clip as he jammed for 146,000. Ivey went deep into the tank as cameras began to surround the table. After almost two minutes, Ivey threw in the call and was shown AK32 for the nut low and one pair of aces. Ivey took a look at his hand and mucked.

"Oh my f*cking god, do I scoop?" exclaimed Korody as he stood up with his hands over his head.
