Kempe's Overbet Pushes Kingston Off the Pot

Rainer Kempe opened to 16,000 under the gun and got called by cutoff player Jamie Kingston to see a flop.

The dealer fanned out 7♣A♠K♥. Kempe continued with another 17,000. Kingston hung on to see another card.

On the turn 2♠, Kempe turned on the heat and made an overbet of 85,000. Unable to take the pressure, Kingston conceded the hand and the pot to Kempe

Nirath Rean: 9♦9♣

The board ran 4♦5♦4♣ giving Klerk trips on the flop and making Rean visibly frustrated. The turn 8♣ and river J♦ didn't help Rean at all. Klerk scooped the pot as Rean shaking his head muttered to himself, "Crazy call."

On Thursday, Schulman was awarded his seventh WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 2-7 Championship, the third time he's won that event, further cementing his legacy as one of the game’s all-time greats.
