Action for Day 2 of Event #38: $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller at the 2025 World Series of Poker kicks off at noon local time at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.
Day 1 attracted 58 players, each ponying up $100,000; some even entered twice, which brought the total number of entries at the end of Day 1 to 77. As a result, the current prize pool sits at $7,430,500, although with late registration still available, this number is sure to increase.
Entering today’s arena as the player to catch is Belgian professional poker player Thomas Boivin. An electric end to Day 1 saw him climb the leaderboard and bag up a stack of 3,840,000, good for 192 big blinds when play resumes. He will be looking to build on yesterday’s performance and move one step closer to winning his first WSOP gold bracelet.
Hot on his heels and completing the podium places are established professionals Emilien Pitavy (2,980,000) and Joao Vieira (2,920,000). Pitavy, a French professional poker player, has lifetime earnings just shy of $1,000,000, while Portugal's Vieira will be looking to add to the three WSOP gold bracelets he already owns.
Other notable names in the field include, but are not limited to, Adrian Mateos (1,815,000), David Peters (1,275,000), Isaac Haxton (1,140,000), Bryn Kenney (715,000) and Daniel Negreanu (490,000).

Also in the field is reigning champion Chris Hunichen (1,345,000). He will start Day 2 with a stack worth nearly 70 big blinds and will be hoping to take strides in defending his title and winning a second WSOP gold bracelet.
For those who did not enter (or reenter) on Day 1, late registration will be available until the end of the second level today. The starting stack of 600,000 will be only 24 big blinds at the start of play.
The tournament will resume at noon local time and is scheduled for ten 60-minute levels. Play will begin at Level 11 with blinds of 10,000/25,000/25,000. Players will take a 15-minute break after every two levels, and there will also be an hour-long dinner break at the end of Level 16 at approximately 6:30 p.m. local time.
