Buchman, Ponzio Chop Up Colt

Eric Buchman raised under the gun and received calls from Alessandro Ponzio on the button and big blind Lawrence Colt.

Buchman bet again on the A33 flop and both opponents called. Colt then led out with a bet on the 7 turn and Buchman and Ponzio stuck around and called.

The 7 river was checked through and Buchman showed AQ102 for a flush, while Ponzio had JJ42 for a low to chop up Colt's contributions to the pot.

Benso Bets Out Tucker

Todd Tucker raised under the gun and Sergio Benso reraised in early position. Jesus Vergara called in the big blind, while Tucker also came along to the J42 flop.

Benso then bet and only Tucker called. The turn was the Q and Benso bet again. Tucker called once more to the 3 river, but finally surrendered when Benso put out another bet.

Benso showed him AQ85 while taking in the pot.

Defending Champion Chen On The Uptick

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between defending champion James Chen and Glenn Engelbert in the big blind with a board reading J98A.

Chen bet when checked to and Engelbert called.

On the river 5, Chen bet once more when checked to and Engelbert sighed as he threw his cards into the muck.

The Pennsylvania player took down the pot as just a year ago, he beat out a field of 928 entrants to take down his first WSOP bracelet.

Adams Scoops Three-Way Pot

Three-handed on a flop of 982, Kathy Chang bet from the big blind before Jason Adams raised under the gun. Lewis Brant called in early position, while Chang also called.

The turn was the 7 and Adams bet again. Both opponents called to the Q river as all three players checked it down.

Chang turned over 8743, but Adams had AJ103 for a straight and low to scoop the pot.

"I had you," Chang said to him.

"At what point? On the turn I had the nut straight," Adams replied.

"I thought I had you," Chang added.

Kepfer's Boat Sinks Against Hui

Wayne Kepfer raised in middle position, Phil Hui reraised in the cutoff, and Kepfer called.

Kepfer led out with a bet on the K94 flop and Hui called. The turn was the A and Kepfer bet again. Hui then raised and Kepfer called.

The river was the A and Kepfer bet. Hui raised once again and Kepfer quickly called. Hui showed AKQ2 for a full house and Kepfer flashed A9 for a smaller full house before surrendering the pot.
