Todd Brunson bet from the big blind on a flop of Q♠10♣5♠ and picked up calls from Marielizette Acoba on the button and Nick Guagenti in the small blind.
While this hand was in progress, Kia Hooshmand was leading the table in a game where they name a movie and the rest of the table tries to guess what year it came out in. Hooshmand's first movie was The Ring, and Guagenti successfully guessed that it came out in 2002.
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," Hooshmand continued, as guesses ranged from 1972 to 1974. "Nope, 1975, the year I was born," Hooshmand answered.
Meanwhile, action had checked to Acoba on the J♥ turn and she bet. Guagenti folded, but Brunson called to see the 2♣ river. Acoba then bet again and Brunson called.
Acoba showed A♠Q♥7♣3♦, but Brunson had Q♦J♦9♠7♦ for two pair to win the pot as Guagenti threw out the movie City Slickers for the table to guess.
Action is picked up on the turn in a pot between Michael Amato, in early position, Mike "Crazy Mike" Thorpe on the hijack and Jordan Scheeland in the big blind.
On the board of 8♥7♦6♣A♥, Scheeland checked to Amato who moved all in for 800 which saw Thorpe raise and Scheeland three-bet and Thorpe called.
The river Q♣ saw Scheeland bet and Thorpe called.
Michael Amato: A♠A♦Q♠2♦
Mike Thorpe: K♠K♥5♥4♠
Jordan Scheeland: 10♦9♦5♣3♠
The straight for high and eight-seven low was good for Scheeland to scoop the pot and eliminate Amato while leaving Thorpe short.
Darryll Fish raised in middle position, Mike Leah reraised in the hijack, and Fish called.
The flop came Q♣Q♠J♣ and Leah put out a bet. Fish called to the 8♦ turn, where Leah bet again. Fish called and the 9♦ fell on the river.
Leah then bet and Fish called. Leah turned over A♣Q♦5♠2♣ for trips and Fish mucked.

Miguel Maldonado bet from the button on a flop of A♦9♦6♣, Adrian Hoines raised all in from the big blind, and Maldonado called.
Adrian Hoines: J♦10♦7♥3♦
Miguel Maldonado: 9♠4♣2♠2♣
Maldonado had a pair of nines, while Hoines was chasing a flush draw. The 4♥ turn improved Maldonado to two pair, while Hoines missed the 3♠ river as Maldonado also made a low to scoop the pot and send Hoines to the rail.
At the same table, bracelet winner Jason Daly has built a stack of around 50,000.
Former WSOP player of the year Dan Zack opened in early position and Daniel Sprung three-bet in late position which only Zack called.
The flop rolled out K♠K♣8♦ and Zack checked over to Sprung who bet and Zack raised which Sprung called.
Zack bet both the turn 10♥ and river 4♦ and Sprung called him each time.
At showdown, Zack tabled A♥K♥J♠6♠ for three kings with an ace-kicker and Sprung tossed his hand into the muck, ceding the pot to the three-time bracelet winner.
Three-handed on a flop of A♠9♠5♥, Duke Viveros led out with a bet from the small blind and Ryan Bambrick called in the big blind. Mike Matusow then raised under the gun and both Viveros and Bambrick called.
Matusow bet again on the 9♥ turn and both opponents called. The 7♦ river was then checked down.
Matusow turned over A♥8♣5♦3♣ for two pair, while Bambrick had 8♠5♣4♠2♣ for the low to chop up the pot.
Rodney Spriggs raised in the hijack and both Larry Tobor in the small blind and Melvin McCraney in the big blind called.
Everyone checked the flop of 9♣8♣2♣ to the 2♥ turn where Tobor checked over to McCraney who bet and got two callers.
Action on the river 6♣ checked around to Spriggs who bet and Tobor folded while McCraney called.
Spriggs turned over K♠6♠3♣2♠ for twos full of sixes and McCraney tossed his hand into the muck.
"Oh no," lamented Tobor "you got my low out."
That earned a fist pump from Spriggs as the three-time WSOPC ring winner continued his upward climb after being down to just 2,300 in the early levels of the tournament.
