No player has commanded more attention at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) than Martin Kabrhel, partly for his strong performance, but mostly for his antics.
The clock has been called on the Czech high roller more often this summer than the Paris Hotel parking garage attendant, and he's been yapping away so much at the poker tables that even Daniel Negreanu had enough during a recent final table appearance.
Alex Foxen was one of the shorter stacks in the room and pushed all in for 2,095,000 in early position. The action folded to Jeremy Ausmus in the big blind who asked for the count and then called.
Alex Foxen: J♠J♣
Jeremy Ausmus: A♠Q♣
The flop came Q♠J♦5♣ and Foxen picked up a set of jacks to take a big lead. The Q♦ on the turn made things interesting and Seth Davies managed to get a rise out of the table.
"Not like that," Davies mumbled, impersonating Martin Kabrhel. The 3♥ on the river was safe for Foxen who scored a double up.
Daniel Negreanu commented that tablemate Martin Kabrhel was a "walking advertisement" for ADHD medication — "He's a commercial for Adderall" — before Kabrhel opened to 320,000 in the cutoff and Negreanu defended in the big blind.
Negreanu checked on the flop of 8♥J♥Q♦ and Kabrhel continued for 165,000. Negreanu folded.
"Text Amanda and tell her you made the first mistake of the day," said Kabrhel.

Catching the action on a flop of A♦3♥5♥. Alex Foxen checked from the big blind and Seth Davies bet 175,000 from the cutoff. Foxen check-raised to 550,000, which Davies called.
Both players checked the Q♦ turn to see the A♠ hit the river. Foxen bet 720,000 and Davies called.
Foxen showed 7♠4♠ for a bluff, and lost the pot to Davies' A♥10♥ for trips.
Jonathan Jaffe opened to 230,000 on the button and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 850,000 in the small blind. Jaffe four-bet jammed a stack of around 3,500,000 and Kabrhel went in the tank as he asked for a count and reviewed his stack. After about a minute, he called.
Jonathan Jaffe: A♠5♥
Martin Kabrhel: A♣K♠
Jaffe was dominated and couldn't improve as the board ran out 7♣7♠8♠10♥6♠ to mark his elimination. Meanwhile, Brynn Kenney criticized Kabrhel for what he thought was a "slow roll."
"You think it was a slow roll?" asked Kabrhel.
"Are you going to fold?" asked Kenney.
"I was counting my stack," Kabrhel replied.
Martin Kabrhel raised to 240,000 from under the gun and Phil Ivey shoved all in for around 740,000 in the big blind. Kabrhel quickly called without any speech from the master himself.
Phil Ivey: 4♠4♣
Martin Kabrhel: 8♠8♦
Ivey was in need of a two-outer to keep his run in the $250,000 Super High Roller alive. The board ran out K♦6♠2♦9♥7♣ and Ivey was unable to connect with the board. Kabrhel collected the pot in silence for the first time today and Ivey exited the room.
Level: 16
Blinds: 80,000/160,000
Ante: 160,000
Jeremy Ausmus raised to 240,000 in the cutoff and Joao Vieira ripped all in for 1,335,000 in the blinds. Ausmus asked for a rough count and then called to put Vieira at risk.
Joao Vieira: A♦Q♠
Jeremy Ausmus: 8♣8♦
The flop came A♥J♠6♠ and Vieira flopped an ace to take the lead. The A♠ on the turn and 9♠ on the river only improved Vieira who collected a double up.
