Lim Extends Lead Versus Boloqui

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Lawrence Rabie for one shove through, then lost the profit against chip leader Brett Lim after folding a seven-high flop.

Up next, Jose Boloqui raised to 1,800,000 with the K♥J♥ and Lim called in the big blind holding the 3♠3♥. On the A♥A♣A♦ flop, Lim check-called for 2,000,000 and the 10♠ followed on the turn. Lim checked again and Boloqui now bet 3,400,000 for Lim to reluctantly call.

That led them to the 9♦ on the river and Lim checked again. Boloqui gave up and checked behind for the chip leader to pull even further ahead.

Jose Boloqui raised to 1,800,000 on the button with the 9♦2♦ and was called by chip leader Brett Lim in the big blind, who had the J♥8♣. The Q♦10♣9♣ flop gave Lim the second nut straight and he checked, prompting a bet of 2,000,000 by Boloqui.

Lim check-raised to 5,500,000 and Boloqui let go.

Rabie Gets Three-Bet Twice in a Row Then Moves All-In

Lawrence Rabie on the button with A♣9♣ raised to 2,200,000, but Brett Lim in the small blind with Q♠Q♣ three-bet to 9,900,000. The big blind folded and so did Rabie.

On the next hand, Rabie now in the cutoff with A♦8♠ opened again but this time to 1,700,000. Elan Lepovic in the small blind found A♣2♣ and three-bet to 5,000,000. Rabie folded once again.

Moments later, Jose Boloqui in the small blind raised to 1,600,000 with A♦3♠. Rabie in the big blind announced "all-in" for 5,400,000 with A♠8♣. Boloqui asked for the count but folded.

Expensive Misstep for Carlson as Boloqui Doubles

Dennis Carlson raised to 1,700,000 on the button with the Q♠7♥ and Jose Boloqui three-bet out of the small blind to 4,700,000 with the A♣K♠. It folded back to Carlson and he instantly four-bet to 12,000,000, grabbing into his stack of big chips and moving it forward. Boloqui tried to move all-in over the top but produced a string bet, hence why it became a call only.

The shove by Boloqui came on the K♣9♠7♣ flop for his last 7,800,000 with the top pair and top kicker. Carlson reluctantly called and then sighed when he was shown the bad news. The 10♦ turn gave Carlson a gutshot on top but the 9♥ river changed nothing, as Boloqui suddenly jumped into second place on the leaderboard.

Boloqui checked the 6♣A♣10♦ flop, but Rabie didn't wait to bet 800,000 with his pair. Boloqui responded with a check-raise to 2,500,000, which made Rabie fold.

Elan Lepovic then made it 1,200,000 to go with the K♠Q♦ and Lim defended the big blind with J♥7♥. They checked the K♦10♦6♣ flop and Lim check-folded the 4♥ turn when Lepovic had improved to the top pair.

Boloqui Goes All-In

In a blind versus blind situation, Brett Lim limped from the small blind so Elan Lepovic only had to check his option to find a flop of 2♦10♣J♦ that both players checked.

The turn card was the 5♥ and after Lim bet 700,000 with 4♣2♠, Lepovic raised to 2,100,00 with 10♥5♣ for a better pair. Lim quickly folded.

Two hands later, Lepovic raised to 1,200,000 with 10♠10♥ from the button. Jose Boloqui in the big blind three-bet to 3,700,000 with A♣5♣ and Lepovic called.

Both players checked the 5♥J♥K♦ flop leading to the 3♦ turn where Boloqui moved all-in. Lepovic immediately sent his cards into the muck.

Jose Boloqui raised to 1,700,000 with the 9♠5♠ in the cutoff but folded when chip leader Brett Lim three-bet to 4,200,000 with the K♣J♦. Lim then raised the button to 1,200,000 with K♠7♠ and added even more chips to his stack without showdown.

Lawrence Rabie then opened to 1,800,000 with the A♦6♠ and teased the table to show after everyone folded but mucked instead.

Elan Lepovic then opened to 1,200,000 on the button with K♥7♥ and was called by Boloqui with the A♦7♦ in the small blind, Rabie in the big blind also came along holding the 10♠4♠. The Q♥6♦2♣ flop was checked to Lepovic and his bet of 1,200,000 did the trick to win the pot.

Lawrence Rabie opened the action with a raise to 1,600,000 with the K♠Q♦, and Brett Lim flat-called in the hijack. Jason Reels then pushed all-in for 9,625,000 on the button, and it folded back to Lim, who asked for an exact count

Reels had seen some of his outs folded already and needed help to stay in contention. The 9♣4♦4♥ flop brought no help, nor did the 3♦ on the turn. Nothing changed with the 2♦ river either, and Reels became the second casualty of this final day in sixth place for $143,425.
