Phil Ivey is starting to heat up at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), and he could be just one day away from capturing his 12th gold bracelet.

The Poker Hall of Famer, with 10 players remaining at the time of publishing, held the chip lead in Event #51: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, a tournament with 489 entrants.

Bryn Kenney, who is closing in on $80 million in live tournament cashes, busted in 11th place ($134,007). The remaining players still have a shot at the $2,292,155 first-place prize, to be awarded on Friday.

The action was picked up on a board of 5Q479 with roughly 2,000,000 in the pot. Jose Boloqui in the big blind checked, then went deep into the tank after Khaled Aljoma in the cutoff bet 800,000.

"Sorry guys," Boloqui apologized after a few minutes of reflection. He eventually folded the 7 face up and let the pot go in Aljoma's direction.

Tenpas Receives Ebner's Stack

The action was picked up on a board showing AA68 with a large pot already in the middle. Mark Ebner jammed from the blinds for a stack around 3,000,000 and after a minute, Timothy Tenpas announced the call with a larger stack.

Ebner tabled A9 for trips aces but Tenpas held AK for a same hand with the best kicker and Ebner made his way to the exit after a 7x completed the board while Tenpas ammassed the massive pot.

Gould Snaps Off Lyons' River Bluff

Both players checked when the flop came [qdqhj], Lyons decided to lead for 225,000 when the 9 hit the turn, Gould called. Lyons fired out another bet of 500,000 when the Q hit the river and Gould snap-called.

Lyons tabled 106 for a stone bluff, and Gould tabled KJ and scooped.
