Shirley Williams opened to 200,000 from early position. Walter Ellis in the big blind three-bet all-in for 225,000, so Williams only had 25,000 to add to call.
Walter Ellis: Q♦10♥
Shirley Williams: A♠Q♣
Both players hit a pair on 6♠4♣8♠6♦Q♥, but it wasn't enough to save Ellis who was eliminated.
No player has commanded more attention at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) than Martin Kabrhel, partly for his strong performance, but mostly for his antics.
The clock has been called on the Czech high roller more often this summer than the Paris Hotel parking garage attendant, and he's been yapping away so much at the poker tables that even Daniel Negreanu had enough during a recent final table appearance.
Regardless of my or your take on Kabrhel's behavior, he has people talking about poker. He's bringing attention to the 2025 WSOP, and many seem to be enjoying the Kabrhel video clips shared on social media.
Peter Fellows raised and faced a shove from Charisse Case next to him for 1,115,000. The rest of the players folded and Fellows went deep into the tank before announcing the call:
Charisse Case: A♦K♣
Peter Fellows: Q♣Q♦
Case was unable to win the flip as the board revealed 6♠5♠3♥6♥10♥ and left the tournament while Fellows grabbed the pot.
All the chips went in the middle preflop between Robert Zipf, at risk for a remaining stack worth 290,000 and with A♥Q♥, against Jason Reels who had the best hand with A♣K♠.
The board brought no surprise with 8♠4♥7♠9♥3♦ and Reels received the pot while Zipf made his way to the payout desk.
Hossein Zomorrodi announced all in from under the gun for 590,000. Korte Yeo, thinking it was a min-raise, put in 160,000. After all other players folded, the floor was called, and it was ruled that Yeo must call the full amount since the all-in was clearly announced verbally before chips were pushed in.
Before the cards were on their backs, Yeo said to Zomorrodi "you are way ahead".
Hossein Zomorrodi: 7♦7♠
Korte Yeo: K♦9♦
The board ran out 8♠5♦J♠3♠2♥, and Zomorrodi doubled.
The action was picked up with Jason Sell being all in and at risk for a stack worth 1,700,000, against Marc Fluss who had him covered and with the cards on their back:
Jason Sell: A♥K♦
Marc Fluss: K♠Q♠
Sell stayed ahead throughout the board 10♠10♦4♣7♥2♣ to double his stack while Fluss was down to less than five big blinds.
Raminder Singh raised to 175,000 from early position, and Billy Papadopoulos called from the big blind. The flop K♥3♦8♥ was checked by both players.
The turn K♣ and the river 2♦ were also both checked. Billy Papadopoulos tabled A♦10♥ for ace high with a pair of kings, and Singh showed A♥J♣ for ace high and a pair of kings with the superior kicker.
