Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed) here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

This three-day event gets underway at 12 p.m. local time with late registration open for 12 levels. Players are allowed two reentries in this event. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels, with a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9 (~6:30 p.m.)

The starting stack is 50,000 chips with the plan for Day 1 to play 15 40-minute levels. Day 2 resumes at 12 p.m. Friday, where levels increase to 60 minutes.

Last year was the first time this event became part of the WSOP schedule and was won by Bryce Yockey, for his second WSOP bracelet. He topped a field of 733 players to win $606,654 after defeating Farid Jattin heads up.

"There's no feeling like it," Yockey told PokerNews. "Like winning a tournament, especially a WSOP tournament, is just a highlight of anyone's poker career. I feel validated because I've worked really hard to get better at PLO specifically, and I feel like it paid off today.
