Winter Hits Trips

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Lawrence Brandt called in the cutoff, Sean Winter also called on the button. Lautaro Guerra completed from the small blind, and David Eldridge checked his option from the big.

873 was the flop, and Guerra led out for 36,000. Eldridge called, Brandt folded and Winter called as well.

The turn was the 3, and Guerra continued to bet. This time he bet 75,000. Eldridge got out of the way, but Winter called again.

On the K river, Guerra paused and asked the dealer to count the pot. The pot was over 300,000, but Guerra decided to bet 65,000. Winter looked confused, confirmed the amount, and made the call.

Guerra tabled the K974, but Winter had a better hand with A532.

Riordan Nearly Locks It Up on the Turn

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

There was a three-way all in that saw John Riordan at risk for 102,000, Josh Arieh was at risk for 152,000 and Roman Hrabec was the big stack that had both players covered.

John Riordan: AKKJAll in
Josh Arieh: AK64All in
Roman Hrabec: AQ62

The flop came 1087 and the 10 paired the board on the turn. Riordan was still ahead with his pocket kings and his opponents were nearly drawing dead. Arieh was the only one with some equity, needed a five or the lone remaining ace in the deck. The river was the 3 and Riordan held on for a triple up, while Arieh claimed the small side pot.

Haxton and Lonis Battle in the Blinds

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action folded around to Isaac Haxton in the small blind who made it 60,000 to go. Jesse Lonis called from the big blind and the flop of 964 hit the flop.

Haxton continued with a bet of 85,000 and Lonis called to see the Q on the turn. Both players checked and the 10 completed the board. Two more checks and Haxton turned over Q985 for a flush.

"We could've had some fun on that flop," Lonis pointed out as he tabled 8x7x6x5x.

"I guess I could've bet the river," Haxton said to himself.

Arieh Survives on the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Roman Hrabec raised to 70,000 in early position, and when action got to Josh Arieh, he called for his final 50,000. All other players folded, and the players revealed their cards.

Josh Arieh: A1084 All in
Roman Hrabec: A663

Daniel Negreanu appeared from his table to support Arieh, just as the 287 flop was spread, giving Arieh the lead.
