Just 44 Players Return to Day 4 of $1,500 Millionaire Maker

Jacques Ortega
Jacques Ortega

Just 44 players will return to Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, today to play the penultimate day of Event #53: $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em at the 2025 World Series of Poker.

Kaifan Wang is the one to watch, as he leads the field starting out Day 4. Brazil's Jacques Ortega is close behind in second place on the leaderboard. Orgeta is no stranger to the WSOP and his current biggest score was just last year when he finished 180th in the Main Event and cashed for $60,000.

Spain's Alejandro Ganivet and Ignacio Moron follow in their footsteps as they bagged within the top five. Ganivet has already seen success this summer and secured his biggest live cash ($33,282) in Event #49: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed just last week. He has already smashed his own record and secured a minimum $40,580 payout in this event, more than doubling his total reported live tournament earnings.

Reichard Doubles with Rivered Straight

Yuan Yu opened to 500,000 under the gun and was called by Kaifan Wang on the button. Joshua Reichard had other plans and shoved all in for around 5,000,000, sending Yu to the tank. After a few moments, Yu called, and Wang folded, getting out of the way of showdown.

Joshua Reichard: KQ All in
Yuan Yu: JJ

Already in the lead, Yu's hand improved to a set when the flop fell A7J. Reichard still had hope of turning things as he also caught himself a gutshot straight draw. The turn 5 didn't change anything, but the river 10 completed Reichard's straight, evoking an invective from Yu.

Frustrated, Yu stood up, absolutely shocked with the suck-out as the dealer pushed the pot towards Reichard, leaving Yu with only 100,000 behind.

Dane Harnett was all in on the button and at risk for his remaining stack. He was called by Josh Reichard in the big blind and the players went to showdown.

Dane Harnett: 88All in

Harnett was looking to hold and the 108K flop came his way.

The 2 turn also kept Harnett ahead, but the 9 river saw Reichard steal the pot with the diamond flush.

With action folded around to the button, Clayton Kalisek started the action with an all-in shove for 8,900,00. Big blind player Josh Reichard decided to call taking them to showdown.

Clayton Kalisek: A3 All in
Josh Reichard: A7

Reichard was ahead with a better kicker to his ace-high and maintained his lead when the flop came down JJ9. Kalisek just watched on when the turn 10 favored Reichard further with additional outs for a straight draw and a flush draw.

The river fell 8 giving Reichard a straight flush to the cheers of his railbirds. Kalisek left the table quietly to claim his payout.

Reichard Wins A Huge Pot

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Josh Reichard opened to 1,600,000 from hijack and got two callers in Alejandro Ganivet in cutoff and Kaiwan Fang in the big blind.

The flop came 949. With action passed to him, Reichard fired another 1,800,000 into the pot. Ganivet called but Wang got out of the way.

The turn 5 dropped and Reichard, relentless, shot out another 6,200,000 and Ganivet, unfazed, stayed on.

Finally, the river 7 was dealt and Reichard placed in 7,400,000 sending Ganivet to a long tank. It was so long that the floor was called for clock.

Ganivet went on a short panic when he was told he only had 5 seconds to the stall. But all the players agreed to give him 30 seconds because of the size of the pot.

On the last second, he made the call. Reichard showed Q9 prompting Ganivet, visibly frustrated, to throw his hand to the muck pile.

Kaifan Wang opened to 1,600,000 in late position and got a three-bet from Josh Reichard to 4,600,000. Manuel Pochat, in the small blind, decided to shove all-in for 16,100,000.

Wang asked for a count, then he went into deep thought. After a few seconds, he announced all-in as well for 24,400,000. With action back to him, Reichard asked for a count of Wang's chips. He then started calling off what possible hands each player could have.

He went into deeper thought, looking at his chips. Finally, he jammed the stack in his hand for a call heading to a three-way showdown.

Manuel Pochat: A7 All in
Kaifan Wang: AK All in
Josh Reichard: JJ

Reichard was ahead potentially eliminating two players. The flop came 237 maintaining Reichard's lead and leaving Wang to hit one of his overcards. Pochat still had hope with a flush draw on the flop.

The turn J strengthened Reichard's hand with a set, leaving Wang drawing dead but making Pochat still pray for a spade to come. The river 10 ended it all as Reichard remained in the lead and ending both Wang' and Pochat's tournament run.

And in one hand the final table was reached.
