Miracle Double Up for Maruo

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Yuefan Wang raised to 40,000 in middle position and Nicolas Sagra shoved for around 215,000. Tasuku Maruo also pushed next to him for his last 125,000 and Wang quickly folded:

Tasuku Maruo: AJ All in
Nicolas Sagra: JJ

Sagra had the best starting hand and improved into a set on the 7AJ flop, but the rest of the board brought 5Q to give a runner-runner flush to Maruo and the double up.

Wheeler Shows Pahuja the Exit

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action folded to Vineet Pahuja in the cutoff, who moved all in for 150,000. When the button folded, Marcus Wheeler then moved all in from the small blind, prompting the big blind to fold.

Vineet Pahuja: 109 All in
Marcus Wheeler: AQ

Pahuja was the player at risk, but the 8810 flop saw him move ahead.

"I don't like that card," Pahuja said on the K turn, as it gave his opponent a whole host of outs to retake the lead.

Sure enough, the 3 river was revealed, giving Wheeler a flush and sending Pahuja to the exit.

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Both players saw the J54 come down. Tumboli check-called Maskill's bet of 20,000 leading them to the turn 5.

The same thing happened after Maskill fired another 50,000 in the pot. Finally, on the river A, Maskill decided to check after Tumboli.

Maskill tabled QJ for a pair on the flop. Tumboli showed his hand 76 for a busted straight draw.

Naranja Hits the Rail

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The cards were already tabled with Agustin Naranja being all in and at risk for a remaining stack around 180,000, against Jack Maskill who had him covered.

It was a typical flip situation as Naranja held AK and was facing 66 for Maskill, but the board brought 5J5103 to bust Naranja from the event.

De Jonge Hits Huge River

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sebastiaan de Jonge open-shoved his 105,000 stack from the cutoff. Kelley Slay made the call, covering, from the small blind. Keith Pomonis called off too, for just 75,000.

Keith Pomonis: 75 All in
Sebastiaan de Jonge: A8 All in
Kelley Slay: A9

Slay was out in the lead, and it stayed that way on the K2K flop. The turn 7 changed everything, as Pomonis picked up the lead, but still had to fade the nut flush draw of Slay. de Jonge was all but eliminated, until he hit the miracle two-outer on the 8 river, as he almost tripled up, and sent Pomonis home.

Lai Can't Take his Bad Beat

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action was picked up with Marco Soares and Jun Lai engaged in an all-in showdown.

Jun Lai: AK All in
Marco Soares: A8

Lai was ahead with his big slick and was pushed further ahead with the flop 4QK where he caught top pair. Soares was given a bit of hope with a flush draw. The turn K almost cemented Lai's double up but the river 6 dashed his hopes as the board completed Soares' flush for the win.

Lai stood up staring at the board and the chips being pushed towards Soares shocked. He said that the flop was bad for him and that he hated being bad beat. After a while of venting his frustrations, Lai graciously left to collect his payout.
