Merivirta continued for a bet on fourth street and Gola raised. Suzuki got out of the way and Merivirta called.

Merivirta checked on fifth, prompting a bet from Gola.

"No flush," Merivirta said in reference to Gola's board before sending his hand into the muck.

Max Pescatori and Michael Noori Among the Big Stacks Going into Day 2 of $1,500 Seven Card Stud

A field of 377 entrants has been whittled down to just 69 returning players going into Day 2 of Event $6: $1,500 Seven Card Stud here at the 2025 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas.

The money bubble is set to burst early today, with the final 57 players earning at least $3,041. All players will have their sights set on the top prize of $106,840 and the WSOP gold bracelet.

Johnny Woolen enters the day with the chip lead after finishing Day 1 with an impressive 439,000.

Several 25k Fantasy Draft players remain in contention, including Max Pescatori (261,500), Joey Couden (261,500), Robert Wells (245,000), Brian Rast (153,000), Thomas Taylor (105,000), Raymond Henson (104,000), Nicolas Milgrom (56,000) and Dzmitry Urbanovich (50,000).

Also still in contention is Michael Noori, who placed third in this same event last year for $51,626. Noori is in a great position for another deep run in this event, coming in with the sixth-largest stack.

Play will resume on May 30 at 1 p.m. on Level 16, featuring an ante of 1,500 and limits of 6,000/12,000. Ten hour-long levels are scheduled on Day 2, with a 15-minute break for every two hours of play and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 21 at approximately 7:30 p.m.
