Maue Gets There the Hard Way

Level 19 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Nicholas Wright opened to 30,000 from under the gun and Joey Weissman three-bet to 80,000 on the button. Leonard Maue four-bet jammed all in from the small blind which got Wright to fold but Weissman quickly called off his stack of over 400,000.

The flop came A107 and Weissman took the lead with a pair of aces. The 5 on the turn changed nothing but the Q on the river gave Maue a set of queens to eliminate Weissman.

Krentzman With Queens

Brandon Sheils opened from the hijack but Evan Krentzman in the cutoff three-bet to 110,000. Sheils responded by four-betting to 275,000 and Krentzman called.

Sheils continued for 60,000 on the 5K8 flop, then fired a second barrel of 75,000 on the J turn. Krentzman called twice.

The 6 river was checked by Sheils with AJ. Krentzman checked-back with QQ and won the pot.

Zambanini Turns the Corner on Zavorotnijs

Vitalijs Zavorotnijs was down to just 200,000 and shoved all in from under the gun. Matthew Zambanini was on the button and just called while both of the blinds folded.

It was a coin flip and the flop of K42 left Zavorotnijs in the lead with his pair of sevens. However, the J on the turn gave Zambanini a pair of jacks and the 2 on the river eliminated Zavorotnijs.

Warren Doubles With Aces

Brent Sibley opened to 30,000 from the button. Dan Shak in the small blind three-bet all-in for 665,000, then Neil Warren in the big blind jammed as well for 595,000, prompting Sibley to fold.

Sergio Fernandez raised on the button to 30,000. Erik Seidel called in the big blind.

The flop was K73 and Seidel checked. Fernandez continued for 25,000, and Seidel called.

The turn was the A and Seidel checked again. Fernandez bet 65,000 this time. Once again, Seidel called.

The river brought the 8, and both players checked. Seidel flashed the 7, but Fernandez showed the A9 to claim the pot.

After a raise to 30,000, Taylor Paur three-bet to 90,000 on the button. Marius Gierse four-bet jammed all in for 375,000 in the small blind which got the original raiser to fold. Paur went into the tank for a minute before making the call to put Gierse at risk.

The flop came K92 to give both players a pair of kings but it was Gierse still in the lead with the better kicker. The 3 and 10 runout changed nothing and Gierse doubled up.

Muehloecker Calls Maue on River

Leonard Maue raised to 30,000 from under the gun. That was met with a reraise from Thomas Muehloecker in the small blind to 130,000. Maue made the call.

The players checked on the AQ4 flop and on the 2 turn. Then on the river, Muehloecker checked and Maue bet 215,000. Muehloecker went into the tank and eventually called. Maue showed 88, and Muehloecker flipped over KK to take down the pot.
