In a limped pot, both Andres Korn and Aaron Cummings drew two and checked.

The draws repeated and Korn check-called a bet. Both players drew one and check-called another bet.

Cummings tabled 8x6x5x4x2x and won the pot.

Then, Korn opened and called a raise from Kristan Lord. Lord drew one and Korn drew two. Lord bet and Korn called.

Lord stood pat and Korn drew two. Lord quickly bet and Korn folded.

Nathan Gamble raised from under the gun, Kristan Lord three-bet on the button and Gamble called. Gamble drew two on the first draw while Lord opted for one. Gamble checked, Lord bet, Gamble check-raised all in for 155,000 total and Lord called.

On the second draw, both players took one card, which they subsequently pitched again for the final draw.

Lord peeked at his card first. "Ace," he said.

Korn and Lord drew one on the second draw and action was checked. On the final draw, both players again drew one. Korn checked, Lord bet, and Korn called.

Lord showed 8x6x5x4x2x and Korn mucked to fall dangerously short.

In the next hand, Lord raised from under the gun, Korn three-bet, Lord four-bet, and Korn called. Korn drew two cards and Lord went for one. Korn bet, Lord raised, and Korn called all in for 130,000.

The players stayed pat on the two remained draws and Korn fanned out a Number Six 8x6x4x3x2x. Lord had a Number Eleven with 8x7x5x3x2x and Korn took it down.

"Oooh yeah, Big Korn!" one of the railbirds shouted.

Players Upset When Golden Nugget Cancels $1M Gtd. Poker Tournament After Level 1

Golden Nugget pulled the plug on a $1,200 buy-in, $1 million guarantee after the Grand Poker Series tournament had already begun Wednesday morning.

The Las Vegas card room would inevitably cancel the tournament and refund all players after receiving criticism from those who'd entered and expected to be playing for a seven-figure prize pool.

PokerNews spoke with the poker room's Director of Poker Operations, Joel Garcia, and a player who entered the tournament, David Mcconachie, to find out what happened.
