Limits: 50,000-100,000
Nathan Gamble opened and was three-bet by William Romaine who had 100,000 behind.
"This could get ugly," said Gamble as he thought about his options. "Do you have kids?" he asked Romaine.
"I had a dog," replied Romaine. "He's dead now. He died two months ago."
A sudden outpouring of sympathy mixed with shock hit the table.
"Man," said Gamble. "Just give him the tournament now."
Gamble called and both players drew two. Romaine bet and Gamble called.
"What was the dog's name?" said Gamble.
"Troy," replied Romaine. "You want to see a picture?" Romaine then stood pat as Gamble drew one. Romaine bet and was all in. Gamble called.
Romaine stood pat again and Gamble drew one.
