Level 1
Sean Yu at last year's final table
Sean Yu at last year's final table

Sean Yu, who finished fifth in this event for $30,800 last year, was involved in a pot against Charles Mast in the blinds. Mast drew three and Yu drew two on the first draw.

Mast check-called a bet from Yu and drew two, while Yu drew one. Another check-call followed and both players took one before the final draw.

Mast bet, Yu raised, and Mast wasted no time in calling it off. Yu flashed 3x3x, followed by 8x6x2x, and Mast calmly rolled over Jx6x4x3x2x to take the pot.

From the Milly to the Lowball

Level 2
Adam Owen in the Millionaire Maker
Adam Owen in the Millionaire Maker

One of England's best mixed games specialists, Adam Owen, has taken his seat in the 2-7 Triple after just busting the Millionaire Maker in 206th place ($10,200). Owen quickly got himself involved in two hands.

In the first hand, Owen took initiative by three-betting. On the second draw, his opponent Shaneal Singh stood pat while Owen drew two. Singh bet and Owen quickly flung his cards in the muck.

He got the chips back and more in the next hand against Yuya Murata. Both players patted before the final draw, and Owen got value with his 7x6x5x3x2x.

Gannon fanned out 8x6x4x3x2x before collecting the pot.

A Number Two

Level 3

Albert Luna limped in on the button and two-time bracelet winner Nathan Gamble completed the small blind. Benjamin Sweetman made it two bets in the big blind and both Luna and Gamble called.

Gamble drew three cards, Sweetman two, and Luna three on the first draw. All players checked it around before taking two apiece.

Gamble bet, Sweetman raised, Luna cold-called, and Gamble called as well. Gamble drew one on the final draw, Sweetman stood pat, and Luna drew one.

Gamble and Sweetman checked to Luna, who bet. Gamble folded and Sweetman reluctantly threw in a calling chip. Luna fanned Number Two 7x6x4x3x2x to take the pot.

More for Velador
