Straight for Weston

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Marcus Weston shoved for 70,000 from middle position, which led to a call from Perry Burrell from the cutoff.

Marcus Weston: 88All in
Perry Burrell: QQ

Weston needed some help to stay in the tournament, and the 765 flop increased his equity to give him a fighting chance against Burrell's queens.

The 4 turn guaranteed Weston would at least survive the hand, and the 10 river awarded him the full double.

Morgan Stays Afloat

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

It was a battle of the blinds when Timothy Sullivan from the small blind and Mayo Morgan from the big blind clashed in an all-in pot with Morgan at risk for his final 95,000.

Mayo Morgan: K9All in
Timothy Sullivan: Q4

The flop was favorable to Morgan as it came 8A2. The 9 turn gave Morgan a stronger footing as he reduced Sullivan's outs, which made the 4 river harmless as Morgan scored the double.

Demeza Zooms Up the Counts, Cole Eliminated

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ron Cole had his chips all in preflop and at risk against Michael Demeza.

Ron Cole: AK All in
Michael Demeza: JJ

Cole was on his feet, sweating the board, as it ran out 36649.

Cole was transparent about his feeling on the situation as he said, "Goddammit. I didn't want to lose," while his chips were pushed to Demeza.

Goldstein Pushes Through the Crowd

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Stephen Goldstein began the hand with a raise to 40,000 from under the gun and was called in middle position by Barbara Lewis. The table folded to Martin Kohler in the small blind, who called, and Marcelo Bottino came along from the big blind.

Kohler and Bottino checked the flop of 9K6 before Goldstein fired 45,000. Lewis called while Kohler folded. Bottino stayed in the hand to keep it three-handed, headed to the turn.

Bottino checked the 4 turn, which led to an all-in bet by Goldstein for 280,000. Lewis contemplated before she folded, and Bottino yielded with a fold to end the hand.

The Elusive Four-Bet Pot, Dancing Stacks

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Damir Stefanic raised to 60,000 in early position, and James Stern made it 160,000 on his direct left.

It folded halfway across the table to Timothy Neufeld, who went all in for 490,000.

Stefanic didn't take too long mucking his hand, but when it got to Stern, he went deep in the tank. He asked for a count and was then chastised by his table-mates for trying to get a read on Neufeld's hand by talking to him.

After doing what seemed to be some mental math and gymnastics, Stern eventually passed, pushing his hand in the muck, awarding the pot to Neufeld.

Poor Timing Spells the End for Bohmer

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded its way to Thomas Bohmer on the button, who moved all in for roughly 270,000. The small blind folded, but Michael Demeza, in the big blind, made the call.

Thomas Bohmer: QJ All in
Michael Demeza: AA

The flop offered no help to Bohmer, coming 532, but the J turn breathed new life into his hopes of survival.

Alas, the river 8 wasn't able to save him, and he took his leave as the dealer pushed the pot to Demeza.

Luske Recalls Bad Beat

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

Marcel Luske recalled the action, having just lost a preflop all-in versus Richard Murphy.

Luske raised to 42,000, then Murphy, one seat to his left, moved all in for 375,000. Luske made the call, and the players revealed their cards.

Richard Murphy: AxQx All in
Marcel Luske: AxKx

What was a promising situation for Luske to continue his dominance soon turned into despair, as the board ran out queen-high, and Luske had to ship a substantial sum of chips to his neighbor.
