The hand began when Vincent Frigeria shoved from early position for 148,000. He was called for less by Rene Chave in the cutoff for 76,000, and Bruce Webb called with both players covered.

Frigeria went into the runout in the roughest shape of the three players, but the 8♠5♥J♦ flop gave him a set of jacks to leap into the lead.

The 9♦ turn was an inconsequential card, but the Q♥ river was just what Chave needed as it gave him a set and the winning hand. Chave won the main pot, and Frigeria was awarded the side pot to stay alive.

Einiger, who had already lost with pocket kings all in preflop versus king-queen today, found himself flipping to stay alive.

The K♣ river led Allis to take over the betting as he led for 125,000. Oconnell called after a brief pause.

Allis showed 10♦9♦ for ten high, and Oconnell revealed his A♠10♠ to take the pot with his pair of aces.

Just Before the Break:

James Casement raised preflop and was called by Marc Ginsberg, Thomas Swanson, and Daniel Gates.

Four ways to the 9♦K♥Q♣ saw Gates take the initiative and bet 60,000. Only Swanson called.

The turn paired the board with the 9♠ and Gates continued for 125,000. Swanson responded with an all in for 324,000 and Gates snap-called.

Gates needed a king or nine to defeat Swanson's straight but the 4♦ awarded a massive pot to Swanson, seeing his stack swell to nearly a million.
