Ken Takayama Eliminated in 12th Place ($30,120)

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Ken Takayama
Ken Takayama

Ken Takayama shoved on the button when action folded round to him. Ian Pelz took his time, asked for a count, then made the call from the big blind.

Ken Takayama: A10 All in
Ian Pelz: 99

It was a flip, and the board ran out nice and safe for Pelz, as the 37J42 runout gave him a huge chipstack. Starting the day just half an hour ago, he had less than a big blind more than the shortest stack. After winning two all ins in quick succession, he soars into second.

Short Stacks Flop Incredibly; Ace-King Double Defeated

Level 40 : Blinds 1,000,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Ian Pelz
Ian Pelz

Ian Pelz shoved his remaining stack on the button before small blind Yuanzhi Cao put in a huge raise, covering the big blind. The big blind folded.

Ian Pelz: A9 All in
Yuanzhi Cao: AK

If Pelz asked the poker Gods for a flop, he most likely would've wanted the 9Q3 flop that he got, leaving Cao drawing to only a non-diamond king. It didn't arrive on the A3 runout, as Pelz doubled. The dealer gave the count as 24,500,000 before Pelz corrected it, as the total was 28,500,000. "Every chip counts," said Manuel Reyes. "If you're gonna get that f***ing lucky, you better make it count!" replied Pelz.

The very next hand, Ken Takayama open-shoved under the gun, but was dominated by Manuel Reyes, who snap-called from the big blind.

Ken Takayama: K4 All in
Manuel Reyes: AK

Yet again Ace-King was looking for a knockout, and yet again it didn't arrive as Takayama flopped the absolute nuts on 103A and practically jumped out of his chair as he held on the 75 runout. Reyes took it well, offering a fist bump to his opponent.

Israelashvili Hits the River to Double Up

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante

Timothy Thorp jammed for 38,000,000 from the hijack and was called by Roland Israelashvili in the big blind who only had 31,000,000.

Roland Israelashvili: AK All in
Timothy Thorp: 44

Thorp was on his way to eliminate Israelashvili after hitting a set on 3294, but Israelashvili was lucky enough to hit a straight with the 5 river to double up.

Moments later, Thorp moved all-in for 5,000,000 with J4 from the big blind against Joseph Butler in early position with Q5 but they split the pot on 9K292.

Butler Gets Value; Felarca Gets Short

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Joseph Butler
Joseph Butler

Timothy Thorp raised to 6,000,000 on the button and Albert Felarca called from the small blind, as did Joseph Butler (IN) in the big.

Three ways, they saw the 1094 hit the felt. All players tapped the table, bringing the 2. Felarca led for 7,000,000 and only Butler called.

The river completed with the A and Felarca slowed down with a check before facing a bet of 12,000,000 from Butler. Felarca didn't seem thrilled but made the call. Butler tabled A9 for top two and Felarca mucked A7 face up, awarding Butler a substantial boon.

Bradley Moore Eliminated in 13th Place ($30,120)

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Bradley Moore
Bradley Moore

On the very first hand of the day, Manuel Reyes opened to 7,000,000 from middle position. Bradley Moore in the big blind went into the tank but folded an ace. Reyes showed an ace as well.

On the next hand, Reyes raised again to 6,000,000. Moore in the small blind three-bet all-in for 19,000,000 and Reyes snap-called.

Bradley Moore: A4 All in
Manuel Reyes: Q10

Moore was in the lead, but Reyes flopped top pair on 1078. The 9J runout completed a straight on the board, but Reyes, with his queen, had the best straight, and Moore became the first player eliminated of the day.

Roland Israelshvili Headlines Final 13 in Hunt for Second Bracelet

Roland Israelashvili
Roland Israelashvili

The final day of Event #67: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em begins on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m., with just 13 players left from the 24,629 that entered across four Day 1 flights. They will be returning to Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas for a third time to fight for a share of the whopping $4,017,179 prize pool that has been generated from said entries, with $420,680 being handed out to the eventual victor.

Each player has already locked up a score of $30,120, which is a career-high live cash for the majority of the returning players. That includes chip leader Yuanzhi Cao (106,300,000), who will certainly be aiming to lock up more than six figures by putting his 42 big blinds to use. Just behind him, Manuel Reyes(101,500,000) will also be going home with a new personal best live cash, which will improve with each player that he outlasts.

That being said, the biggest name left in the field is none other than Roland Israelashvili (34,000,000), a man that the other players in the field will certainly have to be wary of. Israelashvili is currently third in the list of all-time WSOP cashes, and with this tournament included, he inches all the closer to the star-studded top two, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Will Israelashvili’s experience and longevity help him to double his bracelet tally, or will the chip deficit be too much to overcome?

Only a single Day 1 chip leader remains in contention on Day 3. Joseph Butler (IN), who came out on top at the end of Day 1c, has bagged up 97,000,000 chips following Day 2, meaning he’ll come into the last day third in chips, with just under 39 big blinds. Ramond Takhsh (27,500,000) could be considered as somewhat of an underdog, as even if he his the first to vacate, he will have more than octupled his career live earnings. If he manages to take his 11 big blinds further than that, he can multiply them by well over 100, as well as take down the bracelet.

The remaining competitors will take their seats in Horseshoe Gold as play begins at Level 41, with blinds at 1,000,000/2,500,000, alongside a 2,500,000 big blind ante. Play will not end until a winner is confirmed, meaning one of the remaining 13 hopefuls will be going home with a new golden bracelet before the day is up. Action will be streamed by PokerGO when just 7 players remain.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as live updates are offered from the moment a card is dealt, through to the champions being crowned.
