Krnyaich and Soulier Chop It

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Corentin Soulier raised to 3,000 in middle position and Phillip Krnyaich three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind. Soulier called.

The flop came 647 and Krnyaich continued with a bet of 6,000. Soulier called and the turn landed the 8.

Krnyaich didn't slow down and tossed out a bet of 17,000. Soulier thought for a brief moment and called.

The river fell the 5, putting a straight on the board and Krnyaich moved all in for 56,000 to put himself at risk.

Soulier took some time to think through his decision and made the call. Krnyaich showed J8 and Soulier tabled 65, resulting in a split pot.

Foxen Still Alive

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

With his wife Kristen having just registered for the event and placed in a seat at the table directly behind him, Alex Foxen found himself almost out of the tournament.

Down to his final 7,500 chips, with 4,000 in blinds and ante approaching, Foxen was up against it.

In the big blind, he folded to a button raise by Victor Chong, but from the small blind, he raised all-in, drawing a call from Ayaz Mahmood, who exited when Chong reraised.

Alex Foxen: KJAll in
Victor Chong: 109

Foxen hit a jack on the flop and turned trips to run away with the hand on the board of A2JJ5.

Foxen then waited through a full rotation before getting involved again, this time joining three callers of Charles Thomas' preflop raise.

After the flop hit J10A, Thomas fired off a 10,000-chip bet. Foxen raised all-in for his remaining 14,000 chips.

Thomas thought about it for a bit, then made the surprising fold, handing Foxen a pot that put him almost back to the starting chip stack.

Uvaydov Sent Packing

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Artem Riabov raised from middle position to 3,000, and Timothee Rey three-bet to 8,500 from late position, only for David Uvaydov on the button to four-bet all in for his last 17,000. Riabov called, and Rey folded.

David Uvaydov: JJAll in
Artem Riabov: AK

Not the flop Uvaydov was looking for of 2K2, and when the 3 dropped on the turn, he was drawing to two outs. No help at all with the Q coming on the river, and he was sent to the rail.

After an under-the-gun raise and a middle position flat, Bradley Gafford three-bet to 11,000 on the button. Daniel Sindelar then cold four-bet to 26,000 in the big blind, and only Gafford called.

The flop came Q23 and Sindelar continued with a bet of 35,000. Gafford moved all in for 42,000 total to put himself at risk and Sindelar quickly called.

Niall Duffy
Niall Duffy

Niall Duffy raised to 3,000 from middle position. Jason Hickey then three-bet to 8,500 from the next seat over. Jamie Gold called on the button, and Duffy called as well.

The flop came 64K. Action checked to Gold, who bet 17,500. Duffy called, and Hickey folded.

Brown Finds New Life on the River

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action went five-ways to a flop of K104 and it checked around to Marc Foggin in the hijack who bet 8,500.

Gregory Brown made it 17,000 to go in the cutoff and it folded back around to Foggin who moved all in to put Brown at risk. Brown, who had 39,500 behind, made the call.

Donation Returned to Gifter

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Noah Schwartz three-bet preflop to 15,000 from the hijack and Tanupat Punjarojanakul came over the top with an all-in for his 52,000-chip stack.

After the original raiser folded, Schwartz pondered the call for a while, then said, "This is a donation."

Noah Schwartz: AQ

The purported contribution was still on after the flop, as Punjarojanakul flopped a set, but Schwartz had outs. And he got even more on the turn with a double gutshot straight draw.

The runout A10J89 led to a queen-high straight for Schwartz, which knocked Punjarojanakul out of the tournament.

Short Stacks Not Hanging Around

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With play now in the last level of the night, the shorter stacks are looking for spots to pick up double-ups or bust out and come back with a fresh stack in the morning.

Michael Marder went all in from the small blind for his last 23,000 and was called by Kyle Grupp in the big blind.

Michael Marder: Q10All in
Kyle Grupp: K5

The QJA flop was promising for Marder, sending him into the lead, but then the 10 peeled off on the turn and made straight as well as giving Marder two pair. No full house though with the 2 brick on the river, and Marder was sent to the rail.
