Kornuth has Martirosian on the Ropes

Level 41 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Artur Martirosian raised on the button to 24,000 and Chance Kornuth made the call.

The flop came 964 and when Kornuth checked, Martirosian followed through with a continuation bet of 48,000. Kornuth called.

The turn brought the 2 and Martirosian kept betting, this time to the tune of 125,000. Kornuth once again called.

On the river Q, Kornuth checked, and Martirosian thought for a bit. He used a time extension, but seemingly waved the white flag and checked. Kornuth showed the 95 for a pair of nines and Martirosian mucked.

“Good check”, Kornuth remarked, implying he was going to call. “Maybe not”, said Martirosian, who maybe regretted not firing the third barrel.
