Malavet With Spidey Senses
Level 1
: Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
Katherine Porrello raised from the button to 300, and the small blind Lina Niu called, as did Suzanne Malavet from the big blind. The flop came out with 7♥4♣A♦ and both of the blinds checked to Porello, who bet out 400. Niu folded, and Malavet called.
On the turn 2♥, Malavet checked, and Porrello bet 1,200. Malavet called again.
The river Q♦ saw Malavet check again, and Porrello quickly bet out 3,600. Malavet hesitated for a second and made the call.
Porrello queried, "Do you have an ace"?
Malavet flipped over 7♦5♥ for a pair of sevens, and Porrello flipped over K♠J♥.
Malavet stated, "I just knew you didn't have the ace".
Malavet received fourth place in this tournament in 2023.
Legend Barbara Enright is also at this tough table.
