Thirwell Hits the Trips
Level 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Caitlin Comeskey raised from the hijack to 1,600, Zhi Liu called from the cutoff, and Marie Thirlwell called in the big blind. The flop was 2♥5♦2♣, and Thirlwell checked, while Comeskey bet out 2,100. Zhi got out of the way, but Thirwell put in the raise to 8,100. Comeskey contemplated and called.
On the turn K♥, Thirwell took the lead and bet out 12,000. Comeskey called.
The river 9♠ brought another bet of 13,500, which left her not much behind. Comeskey took a few minutes to think and made the call, but mucked when Thirlwell showed A♦2♦ for the trips.
