Zhou Hunts for Two Bounties

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Paulino Dias jammed from middle position for roughly 120,000 and Christian Harder committed all of his 95,000 from the cutoff. Steven Zhou called from the big blind with the covering stack in the hope of claiming two bounties.

Christian Harder: AK All in
Paulino Dias: AK All in
Steven Zhou: Q3

Zhou had two live cards against the Big Slicks of Harder and Dias. The board ran out 39K104 and Zhou lost the pot to Harder and Dias' pair of kings.

Soft Bubble for Nikiforov

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ilya Nikiforov
Ilya Nikiforov

With the tournament on the bubble, action folded to Ilya Nikiforov in the small blind, who moved all in for 190,000. In the big blind, Jeffrey Hong took some time to make a decision. After a little while in the tank, he apologised to the table, saying he really wasn't sure what to do. Ultimately, he decided to call, putting Nikiforov at risk.

Ilya Nikiforov: A4 All in
Jeffrey Hong: K4

It wasn't what Hong was hoping to see, as he didn't even have two live cards.

The deck took care of that for him, though, as the flop came down 3K7, moving him into the lead.

The 8 turn and 7 river couldn't provide a way back for Nikiforov, who vacated his seat and headed to the exit.

Munoz Calls Kabrhel's Bluff

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel opened the action with a raise from middle position, and Ramon Munoz responded with a three-bet to 85,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Kabrhel, who eventually called with a grin and a comment: “I call, imagining I bubble now.”

The flop came 10Q6, and Kabrhel checked. Munoz continued for 60,000, prompting a long tank from Kabrhel before he made the call.

The K turn was checked by both players, but not before Kabrhel asked, “Do you like the king?”, repeating the question more than once.

When the 10 river landed, Kabrhel didn’t look at the board. Instead, he locked eyes with Munoz and asked, “Is it a blank? If it’s a blank, I win.”

Munoz smiled slightly and nodded. After finally glancing at the card, Kabrhel quipped, “Big blank, heh?” and began counting his stack.

He then placed a few stacks of chips in the middle and announced after a bet of 170,000, with confidence. However, after a quick recount, he corrected himself, “Sorry, just 168,000.” Munoz took a moment, then tossed in the call.

Kabrhel revealed 97 for a nine-high bluff. Munoz tabled AK for a pair of kings, enough to drag the pot and leave Kabrhel with just a handful of chips. That hand took so long to play out that the entire table missed an entire blind level.

Sanchez Doubles on the Bubble

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Xiaoyao Ma raised to 40,000 under the gun before John Riordan three-bet to 125,000 from middle position. Diego Sanchez four-bet jammed for 128,000, which forced Ma to fold. Riodan called for the extra few thousand and the Sanchez was at risk.

Diego Sanchez: KK All in
John Riordan: J9

Sanchez needed his kings to hold, to keep the tournament on the bubble. Sanchez got a clean runout of A74A7 to have Riordan drawing dead by the turn, and he doubled up.

Gumz Survives, Ditoto and Vaysman Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Three players were at risk after the second hand of the bubble.

The first was Fabian Gumz, who opened the action with a raise to 45,000. His only caller was Alexander Lynskey, who defended his big blind. Lynskey then check-jammed the J7K flop, and Gumz snapped him off. The two waited for the floor's signal before showdown.

Fabian Gumz: KK All in
Alexander Lynskey: 65

The A peeled off on the turn, which was on track to brutally send Gumz away with less than a mincash, but the J river denoted salvation, as his boat outdrew Lynskey's flush.

Isiah Ditoto was in danger from middle position, as he saw his 201,000-chip stack being called by Qiang Xu to his right.

Isiah Ditoto: QQ All in
Qiang Xu: KK

Ditoto ran into kings which improved into a set on J4K. Ditoto still had a flush draw but the 107 didn't complete it and he was eliminated.

On another table, it was a blind versus blind situation when Justin Vaysman went all in and Dominykas Karmazinas made the call in the big blind.

Justin Vaysman: KK All in
Dominykas Karmazinas: 108

It looked like a safe double-up for Vaysman, but the flop gave Karmazinas a few outs with 7J4 for a gutshot. The 9 on the turn completed the straight, the J river was just mandatory.

As both players busted in the same hand, they split the payout for the 122nd place.
