Raus Takes It Down Without Showdown

Matthew Zambanini opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 5,000 and picked up four callers, bringing five players to the 6Q4 flop.

All five checked it through as they headed to the turn.

The J landed next, and Martin Raus, sitting in the small blind, led out for 11,000. Action folded around to Cole Ferraro in the cutoff, who made the call, followed by Justin Vaysman on the button.

When the 7 hit the river, Raus moved all in for 31,200. Ferraro quickly folded, while Vaysman took his time, clearly weighing the decision, but eventually released his hand.

With no showdown required, Raus dragged the sizable pot.

Valeo Doubles With Big Slick

Victor Fryda raised to 5,000 from late position, Matthew Valeo then shoved all in from the button for 62,000, Fryda quickly made the call, and the players were off to the races.

Renzo Spikes the Turn to Remain in the Tournament

Matthew Beinner came in with a min-raise to 5,000 from early position and Vincent Renzo moved all in from middle position for 46,000. Beinner decided he wanted to go bounty hunting as he called to put Renzo at risk.

Brad Owen shoved from the small blind following Ryo Hara's cutoff open, and Hara made the call to put himself at risk.

Owen was looking for a card with six pips on it, and got agonizingly close, but fours and fives were no help on the A4554 runout. Owen chucked his bounty chip over to Hara, before realising he still had chips behind and taking it back. He'd be unable to take back the rest of his chips from Hara, however, as the table broke after the hand.

Ilya Nikiforov made it 5,500 from early position and Mehrdad Shelechi jammed for 20,000 from the hijack. Nikiforov quickly called when the action got back to him.

Shelechi was dominated by Nikiforov, but Shelechi was confident that a nine would come.

Both players hit top pair on the 1083 flop. The Q turn gave Shelechi a flush draw. Shelechi found the nine he was looking for on the 9 river, but it gave Nikiforov a straight. It took a few seconds fo Shelechi to realise he lost, after which he wished everyone good luck and left the tournament area.

Gankhuyag Scores a Double Up

Ripper Ripped Out

Wagner Ripper went all in and was at risk from middle position for 11,900 and was called by Roman Rogovskyi in late position and Anton Lu in the big blind.

Action checked down on a board reading 51057A, Lu tabled A6, which was good for the win.

Mighall Doubles With Boat

Didier Guerin went bounty chasing as he called Phillip Mighall's all in preflop, and the two went off to a runout.

Mighall had some catching up to do, which he did on the 99J flop. With little to fade, the 29 runout improved him to a full house, leaving Guerin under the ten big blind mark.
