Heads-up to the Q♠5♥3♦J♠ turn, John Holley and Sascha Wilhelm invested 102,000 each and they both checked the 5♦ on the river. Holley tabled the A♠Q♣J♣9♦ to win the pot as Wilhelm tossed his cards into the muck.
There was a pot-sized raise to 106,000 in front of Brandon Crawford and Erik Nordstrand then reraised the pot to 358,000 in the next seat out of the big blind. Alex Livingston and Gabriel Andrade had folded, and Crawford came to the same conclusion.
Up next, two limps reached to Crawford and he bumped it up to 66,000. Livingston called this time and checked the K♠3♦2♥ flop. Livingston checked it over to Crawford, who bet 54,000 to scoop the pot.
Javier Francort made it 42,000 from the cutoff before Melad Marji three-bet to 138,000 from the small blind. Francort called.
Marji bet 24,000 on the K♦Q♣K♥ flop, and Francort made the call.
The 2♦ landed on the turn, and Marji jammed for Francort's remaining 55,000. Francort instantly called.
Javier Francort: K♣Q♠J♠8♦
Melad Marji: A♦K♠9♥8♥
Francort had a boat, and only an ace on the river would end his tournament. The 3♠ river was clean for Francort, and he doubled up at the expense of Marji.
On the river of a A♦Q♦6♦5♥J♣ board, Tolga Demirel faced a bet of 90,000 by Michael Rocco and what followed was a long tank of more than three minutes. The clock was called and Demirel eventually called.
"I think you are good," Rocco said and was shown the A♣K♥10♣6♥ for broadway by Demirel, which was indeed good. Somewhat annoyed, Rocco fiddled with the cards and mentioned he had a set of queens - a new deck was needed afterwards.
On a flop of A♣5♠7♠, Dennis Weiss checked from the small blind, and Marcello Del Grosso checked from the big blind. David Paredes bet 45,000 from middle position, which only Weiss called.
The 6♣ fell on the turn and Weiss led out for 56,000. Paredes put in the call.
Weiss chose to check the 7♥ river, and after thinking for quite some time, Paredes checked behind. Weiss revealed a turned straight with 9♠8♠4♣3♦ and Paredes mucked.
After a couple of preflop raises, Robert Mizrachi and Zhengpeng Liu got all of their chips in the middle with Mizrachi at risk for 426,000.
Robert Mizrachi: J♠9♠9♣8♣
Zhengpeng Liu: A♥A♦7♣5♣
The flop came 10♣5♠5♦ and Liu improved to trip fives to hold a commanding lead. However, the Q♣ on the turn gave Mizrachi a wealth of outs and the K♠ on the river was one of them to help him double up.
Jorryt van Hoof raised to 56,000 from under the gun and was called by Mike Gorodinsky on the button only. The flop came 8♦3♦3♠ and van Hoof bet 75,000 to claim the pot right there without any further resistance.
