Event #77: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship
Day 4 Started
Three full days weren't enough to settle the Event #77: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship as four players from the 186-player field still remain in the hunt at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, for the $411,051 first-place prize and 2025 World Series of Poker bracelet.
Qinghai Pan returns at 12 p.m. local time with the chip lead and a shot at his first live bracelet to go with his two WSOP Online titles. Chasing him down are three hopefuls, including poker boom star Luke Schwartz, back in form and hunting his first bracelet in six years.
Either side of Schwartz in the counts sit David Lin and Andrey Zhigalov, who round out the final day contenders.
Lin remains the only player in contention to not know what it's like to have won WSOP gold, whereas Zhigalov was reminded of that feeling earlier in the series after he took down the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E for a second time.
Zhigalov has his work cut out for him to become a three-time champion as he returns with four big bets, while Lin comes back as Pan's closest rival.
